Yes, and they were very, very, very good.

As for how they cheered, I don't know.

minus one who had flab hanging out....if you have one cheerleader that has flab it should be outlawed for that squad to wear outfits that show the mid drift....just one man's opinion...

bad enough....though its better then LU cheerleaders a few years ago where flabby seemed to be the common theme...not anymore...but it use to be....there use to be a row of guys turn their backs to the cheerleaders when they game out during basketball games....kind of harsh if you ask me...but kind of funny too

with the chants i am torn........... the creativity of the fans is key, first downs and third down on defense are great, but i am still a proponent of having the screen coordinate L.... U...... L...... U..... and showing animation clips of our mascot attacking a red raider and other things could inspire the students and create a better game experience, i agree that our atmosphere is getting better, and i also agree that the forced "MAKE SOME NOISE" is really dumb, but the screen could help if used right, as referenced by many people that have been to an exciting football game where the screens were used right.

Has anyone been to a Mavs basketball game? They do an extraordinary amount to keep the fans into it. Almost mind blowing. I know why they do it but toward the 3rd quarter the huge wrap lcd display begins to give you a headache.

Unfortunately I have been to Mavs games. Cuban's over-the-top "experience" gives me a headache. Personally I prefer the more natural expressions down I-35 in San Antonio.

Maybe the screens are needed for a large amount of the Baptist side and if it'll get them being into the game like some of our posters over there, then I'm all for it.

I particularly liked the Tusculum player talking about where they went to eat on your video...that was funny.

Well boys it looks like your prayers have been answered...we were having music rehearsal today due to the impending bad weather (which came about halfway into the first hour of rehearsal) and Dr Kerr announced that we would be ordering brand new shirts for everyone in what he termed "flag red" in time for the next home football game. We will use the original blue shirts at some other occasions but for when we are in teh stadium we will be wearing red just like the rest of the students.

BJ, are you allowed to wear either shirt at a rehersal? (of course wear red on gameday...I'm talking practice?) I think that would be a good thing. I remember being in band...my shirt was disguisting...because I sweat in it...but it had to be worn...and I only washed it like every other week...

Now with two shirts, band members could cycle them.

They make you wear band shirts to rehearsal? That's stupid. Show up in shorts and a t-shirt and go.

They did when I was there...but that was back in the stone age when TVs weren't allowed in dorms...tuition was per credit...the hockey team practiced in Roanoke...etc.

Oh we aren;t required to wear band shirts to rehearsal except on gameday for the morning (or afternoon depending on the gametime) field rehearsal. If you wear a band shirt to a regular rehearsal (MWF) you get extra credit.

Really none...but folks do it anyway just because its fun to wear the shirts...I still have my shirts from my first 4 years in the band and wear them from time to time (Dr Kerr makes it almost impossible to get an F in marching band but people have done it)
