In which case, if he came to LU he would have to sit out a year as this would be a FCS to FCS transfer, and having used his redshirt year at Pitt, would have only 1 year to play for LU. I would say he would have to be pretty unhappy where he is to do that.

WKU is no longer FCS. They've moved up and are playing as an FBS independent this year.

That's fascinating. So last year they were FCS, and he was able to transfer from Pitt without sitting out. Now they move up to FBS and he could do the same to come to LU? Somehow I think if he pulls this off the NCAA will be looking at closing that "loophole".

Not sure. Right now, they are neither FCS nor FBS. They are FBS-transitional which is kind of a no man's land. I may be wrong but I believe that our current long-snapper, Dan Pope, was in the same situation at FAU and was allowed to play here right away. So, to answer your question: I have no idea if he'd be immediately eligible or not.

I doubt he is the solution to our problem in that area, but Tyler actually was a kicker at LCA. He kicked a 42 yard field goal and 35 of his kickoffs went for touchbacks in his last 2 years.

After yesterday, it is fantastic to have some things to cheer about once again.

And as an aside, it will be interesting to see what kind of impact all of these Lynchburg area transfers from FBS schools has on current high school prospects. They would be VERY effective hosts on visits as they explain why being at Liberty is not something you have to settle for as opposed to an FBS school.
