I have multiple friends, many from the LUnatics and/or who used to post on this message board, that aren't going to come to a game because they don't want to "waste time and money to support Jr."

That's impossible to deny. It's hard to determine how large that pool is but it's definitely a portion of our alumni at this point. I got a text today from a friend who said he's in multiple text chains with alumni and only about 1 in 10 is supportive of the way the admin has been operating recently. That's not to say nine out of ten alumni are bailing, but you have to think some of them are.

Your experience and ideology towards Liberty athletics is in the super minority. Most people don't care nearly as much as we do. They need reasons to show up and recently we've given more reasons not to show up.

Edit: you posted the 90% post as I was typing this and I'm too lazy to edit my post on my phone.
Look, I get it. I'm in the "Minority" about my support of Liberty football. However, if the team went to the playoffs last year then you wouldn't see the major dip in attendance you are currently seeing. Fans do not show up to a Liberty football game because of their support for the Falwell family. It is skewed thinking to think otherwise.

I get people are ticked off about the way things are getting run, but let's not act like admin is at fault for poor attendance.

I stated from the beginning that I agree there are a couple hundred people who are skipping out on Liberty games as a "protest", of sorts, for the way things are being run by the admin. Attendance is down 2,000-4,000 on average from what it has been. A "couple hundred" would fall in the 200-400 range, which would be 10% of the reason attendance is down.

Now that the Scribe has abandoned him, who does he have left?

Oh for the love of all that is good and holy would you guys get off your high horses and agree to disagree. its a combo of both. More so performance than admin but admin and how they have acted this election cycle IS a slight factor. No one is blowing it out of proportion and pretty much everyone agreed that performance was the majority.

I've said this before...We haven't needed the temporary bleachers on the student side this year. So take those down...only put them up if the regular seats are crowded the previous game. And move our band to the other end of the students' side nearest the Football Operations Center. It is the least sat in section because it's the furthest walk. If they would have done those two things last week the student side would have looked almost completely full yesterday. Also, bump up the number of reserved tickets the flamesclub members can buy. I get 4 and always invite two people to come. In addition, the conference visitors rarely bring a lot of fans...maybe we could somehow help their bands to be able to come and sit in the visitors section on the home side. Gardner Webb has a small band. I don't think it would have cost that much for to charter a bus from Boiling Springs or most other Big Sout schools to Lynchburg and back.

As long as we don't trip & fall in Clinton (can you take care of us, Did Liberty Win?) there shoukld be no excuse why folks don't turn out in full force in Williams Stadium. A playoff berth will be on the line against a highly ranked opponent. The weather would be the only potential wildcard that could mess with our numbers at the gate.
