While I know you're being facetious PH, they simply played better. They didn't make mistakes and capitalized on the mistakes and empty possessions everyone else had.

That answer was one step above, "they outscored each of their opponents."

Thank you, Captain Obvious!

Chuck South barely has an OUTDOOR facility. Buccaneer Field is the smallest in the Big South with only 4,000 seats.

Without all these swell facilities how did CSU go Undefeated in the Big South?

Who the HE\\ wouldnt want to live in Charleston ????

Don't know how important HEIGHT is in a football practice facility (for punting/kicking), but I just noticed these dimensions in comparison:

Tech's: 86 feet high https://www.vt.edu/about/buildings/indo ... ining.html
LU's: 70 feet high http://www.liberty.edu/index.cfm?PID=18495&MID=177369
UVa's: 65 feet high http://www.virginiasports.com/facilitie ... ndoor.html

CSU isn't in Charleston. It's 30 minutes away in North Charleston.

Beat me to it. CSU takes recruits closer to College of Charleston's and Citadel's campuses for more of their visits than their own campus.

That said, I still think CSU is a GREAT place, but it's not about locality.

Indoor facility would have been amazing for the morning workouts we used to do in the winter! We used to do it outside on the field, but then Rocco started having all of us walk over to Lahaye. This will help with all those workouts, practices and conditioning! (the dreaded sled pulls)

You're kidding yourself if you don't think a facility like this helps with recruiting. What happens after all of these better recruits get here is up to our coaches and the athletes themselves. A facility like this doesn't guarentee that you win the BSC or any other conference championship every year. But it does help attract the interest of high quality recruits, and coaches for that matter...

Sometimes I think certain people on here just think the university spends money on buildings because it can and they decide to throw it up without any planning or research. Trust me when I say there is PLENTY of research happening here to make these decisions, including making a determination as to whether or not a building like this will have an impact on the decision-making process of a recruit.

Well the philosophy used to new 'Build it now as fast as you can. We can redo it later'

I e a question that I have wondered about, in the years ive been around I have seen that student section become bigger and bigger each year, with next year im figuring to be no different, are they or would they just put students on the lawn for a year or how do they plan on accommodating the new influx of kids into the stadium

They put in extra seating/temporary stands on the student side this year. I would imagine it added another couple hundred extra seats.

I don't think anyone said it doesn't help. But the impact of facilities on recruiting is greatly overstated. It will get you in the door with more recruits but there are only a handful of kids who actually will make a decision based on the facilities of a school.

Haven't seen any renderings, but here is JB's interview describing what the building will look like (i.e., "lots of brick" & "lots of glass"): http://www.liberty.edu/flames/index.cfm ... 71&TeamID=

I have seen recruits go to schools with very bad facilities. But LU's commitment to facilities has to help recruiting somewhat.

Take University of Virginia. their football operations center, practice field and everything else, is a mile from stadium. No running out of tunnel there.

FIFY...facilities is only a small piece of the puzzle when recruiting an athlete regardless of sport. You can have world class facilities, but if your on-field product stinks, or there are too many ahead of them at a given position or a coaching change takes place between commitment and signing day, or any number of other factors fall the wrong way, (including losing to a team you're competing with for a prospect) and that recruit ends up putting on someone else's jersey the next fall.

Fairly certain JK, and basically anyone with a pulse, knows that.

Ballcoach, you don't have to keep asking for a "guru" for information on something...a little research and paying attention to the flow of conversation will do. Byd just said that we will be real excited when we see them, which to me says they are not going to be locatable (sp?) in something from the public record...at least at this juncture. Have a little patience and enjoy the anticipation. When they are released I'm sure it'll get posted here for us to discuss
