Hypothetically, we could play ODU week 1 at home as they were going to travel to Wake Forest and then play at Tech in week 2 as they were scheduled to have Penn State travel to Blacksburg. It is basically flipping the location of our games from away and then home to start the season to home and then away.

Also, I could see us playing both Tech and Syracuse this season because both of them lost a Big 10 opponent and we are a better team for both of them to play compared to the other two on their schedules.

The day after it was agreed upon Cuomo announced that anyone traveling to NY from VA would be required to complete a mandatory 14-day quarantine, no exception. So that effectively kills the plan for us to play up there unless Cuomo makes changes to their policy.

King Andrew has given the pro leagues an exception on the quarantine rule. NY having SU, Army & Buffalo, I'm sure the NCAA has the exception as well. My guess is the various teams movements are restricted. Welcome to this People's Republic of New York.

If that is true, what will the ACC do? It seems that their "plus 1" was primarily for the traditional SEC rivalries.

Appalachian State has lost 3 games. 9/5, 9/11, and 9/19. I'd be on the phone with them, especially if ACC cancels our games. Old Dominion has lost 9/4 and 9/12, BYU lost 5 dates, Army lost 10/10 but could lose more. Charlotte lost 9/12 and 9/17. Coastal Carolina lost 9/19. West Virginia, Texas Tech, and TCU have lost 2 early season games each.

I assume Big 12 will wave the P5 non con for this season which would allow for us to replace Oregon St, Cal, etc. Good exposure week 0 and 1 if we can sneak in since a lot of games won’t be happening those weeks.

Syracuse's AD told ESPN that he didn't think the ACC would backtrack on the +1 game, and ULM's AD also told them entering Monday, that the SBC was hoping to play 12 games. Maybe that changes with the SBC now. So now were waiting on the B12 and the G5's.

Well, according to Wildback and syracuse.com, their preference is to keep their game against us. The problem will be the scheduling since we're already scheduled with Tech and NC State. Also ACC schedules are to be announced within the nest week or so.

Good to hear on Syracuse - i don’t want to play a Big 12 team unless we for sure lose 2 of the 3 ACC games. I prefer BYU home and home over 2 away ACC games personally...

Not me - I am assuming we lose 2 ACC games and replace 1 with Texas Tech, Okie State or TCU. The other with BYU. I don’t mind adding an ODU to replace NC A&T ( shouldn’t have been playing 2 FCS schools anyway. ). We have the dead last SOS schedule ranking - so there is that...

Big 12 is looking like 8+1 or 2 CUSA is announcing either tomorrow or monday full conference slate and allowing schools to play however many they need ooc including scheduling a conference opponent as an OOC to get enough games.
