As always, very nice pictures esp of the locker room. I would think that they would be ready by game time.

I think we can all now see things coming together. This gets me more excited for the start of season every minute. Thankfully we have the countdown up at the top of the screen to remind us.

Not unless you plan on donating $1,000 to Flames Club ...

Heck, Medic needs to be stationed in there in case one of those high dollar boosters (or Chancellors) has a sudden cardiac episode. He would only be doing his job.

As you guys describe him, though, might he need a booster seat to see out the windows?

Thanks for all your hard work on those pictures Libertine. I would be curious to know how the weight room and the practice area downstairs is coming along.

No, I was just joking. Because the turf is nowhere to be found... get it?

I thought that you were referring to the turf that is supposed to be laid down downstairs near the weightroom.

right, I assumed it's the same as the turf that has been sucked out of the space-time continuum.

Well, it's kinda rainy out. So no intalling. But hopefully it at least gets here.

They're not putting turf downstairs any more. Danny was too worried about people running into poles while running routes, so using it as any sort of practice facility is out of the question. The weight room and players lounge will be in the basement.

Just by looking at the pictures I thought that it was kind of small down there to do full scale practices drills so I am not surprised by coach Rocco's decision. I guess safety was an issue. At least the lounge area will be bigger. I wonder if LU will build an indoor practice facility in the near future.

Not trying to be negative here (I am really impressed with the upgrades this year), but shouldn't they have considered safety of the players in the original design? Something tells me that an indoor practice facility is not in the works (unless you can roll a carpet onto the ice center floor).

Acutally a basement wasn't in the original design from what I understand. So since there was one, they were gonna turf it for 40 times and stuff. But I guess now they're not.

True. It turned out that most of that area was old landfill. By the time excavators got down to soil that was suitable to put a building on, they had a hole in the ground 20 feet deep. The basement was not originally planned for and it became more of a question of now that we're going to have a basement, what do we do with it?

looking at the pix in the "turf" thread- I'm wondering: will there be roof access for filming or other media purposes?

or alumni spectating?

You need to work on getting permission to come to the game before worrying about where you're going to sit.

Yes, there is access, but don't get me started on that.

The new Op's Center should be a huge boost in recruiting. I can't imagine many 1-AA schools having facilities like that. Does anyone know if we have football dorms now? My last year there they scattered the palyers in dorms all across campus and I believe that is a huge mistake. There were freshman players that I hardly knew because the only time that you were together was practice.
