Sly, we are losing our reputation as legendary frozen tundra, as it was 66 degrees on Jan. 7. Youngstown at the end of Sept. could be toasty like Toledo was this past season. However, the Ohio Flame Fans are already gearing up for this one.

One observation about the schedule: it is strengthened without the big payout FBS game, which I see as a serious attempt to posture the program for a playoff run.

Also, coaches will be working successfully to addressing any voids for the aforementioned playoff run. Not settling for just a Big South Championship alone.

I understand that it is the goal but if we wind up with another sub-FCS opponent for the final date or heaven forbid we wind up having two open dates then the lack of the FBS game on the schedule won't be of much assistance. The continued improvement of the other Big South schools will hopefully help our playoff arguments as well.

I'm thrilled to see we are over focusing on just a league title and now we are aiming for bigger fish to fry (or other arctic, aquatic creatures).
