We probably would have had a legit shot at GameDay if you hadn't blown it against another middling ACC team last week. The ACC has nine teams with losing records. We realize this is your biggest game of the year. Congrats! Be a shame if you blew that one too...

To give myself further pertinent information regarding the game this weekend, I went to look at your other opponents. Southern Miss (losing record with two wins)
Western Carolina (played two games with two losses)
UMass (four games with four losses)
ULM (losing record and consistently ranked in ESPN's worst teams in America)
North Alabama (four games with four losses, one of those was to Southern Miss)
Syracuse (one win over Georgia Tech who has a losing record)
Florida International (one win and it was over an FBS team)
Virginia Tech (your best win, but they have lost three in a row AND they beat NCSU by a TD)

It really looks like our game is going to be your bowl game this year too.

Welcome to the discussion Dabnus. Not sure you will get a huge disagreement with the retroactive look at our schedule. Coming into the season our schedule looked daunting with 3 ACC opponents; a nine win WKU team in 2109; FIU who made a bowl game and beat Miami a year ago and a good program team in Southern Miss. On paper this was a tougher schedule than what Coastal would face. Granted almost our entire slate of teams have had a sharp decline from 2019 to 2020 and have literally layed down for us. We are real to this. Point is, we have beat who was in front of us and we played the worst game of the year against NC State and still had every opportunity to win. Coastal has done what Liberty has not to this point. However, it still sets up for a great game on the beach and if Coastal wins, it will be the biggest plus on your resume. Bring back the rivalry!

The executive pastor at my church played baseball at Coastal. We've been texting back and forth all day. Mainly talking about how crazy it is this is even a thing but also talking a lot of trash
