Defense and special teams won the game. Willis can't have more rushing attempts/yards than Mack and Pickett and stay healthy. He can't be the first run option. He's gotta learn to use his backs more productively and only run when he has to. He's also gotta look for the short routes in the flats. Willis has talent but I'm still concerned about his football IQ...

Unfortunately, im not sure weve beaten anyone that is good. Wku looks bad again. fiu lost to mtsu who lost to wku. For where we are in fbs were doing great. Being ranked is a different discussion. Beat syracuse on the road and then we maybe deserve to get some votes. Wed have to get to 7 and 0 imho to be worthy of top 25 and i dont think that happens.


Again, we are right where we hoped we would be with hchf and 2nd full year. Actually ahead of schedule.

This is an extremely well coached team in all phases. Each position group takes turns being the best - today I give it to the secondary and what a special teams day. Willis doesn’t like rain - he doesn’t set his feet quite right and throw like normal - go watch his spring game at Ole Miss and it was very much like today - light rain and wet balls. ULM got tired of being the worst run stop team in the country and sold out on it. Fortunately for us they played as bad of 4 quarters of football as I have ever seen - but we had a lot to do with it. We won’t be sneaking up on Syracuse - actually disappointed we won’t face Devito - He is a pocket passer like we faced today - hoping they don’t trot out a dual threat cat we have no tape on. Love our D - now we find out how we hold up to P5 athletes. I feel good about competing with Syracuse. Where are our Tight Ends ? Expect to see some nice new wrinkles on offense this week.

He went into Auburn's 2019 Spring practice as the presumptive starter and came out 3rd string, which led to his decision to transfer. I'm sure there was more involved in that than just a bad Spring game on a rainy day, but it didn't help.

A team that hasn't played should not be ranked. Remember the Big 10 and PAC 10, 12 or what ever they are, canceled the season.
Come playoff time, no team from these 2 conferences should make playoffs. They haven't played anyone, and will not play anyone, if they do start playing.

I missed Saturday's game because our LU Quiz Bowl team had a tournament where we were beating UVa, Johns Hopkins, WVU, and Elon (twice), but I did find a nearly 22-minute condensed version of the game on another message board that was a lot of fun to watch!
