We need a tough schedule. This is what it should have been all along.
Devil's Advocate: Coastal seems to be doing OK with cakewalk schedules.
The goal isn't to be Coastal.

Final 8 two years ago and final four last year. We'd call those deep runs if it happened to us.

Regardless, I think we need the harder schedule. It's better for us.
They never made it to the final four. They made it to the quarterfinals each time and lost.

I've been completely messed up with them. For some reason I switched quarters and semis in my head.

I blame the baby.

Coastal functions better with a cake schedule than we would. Coastal uses those wins to fuel their confidence; we'd use it to fuel out overconfidence. Remember - we seem to play up to our down to the level of our competition.

Actually, Coastal has played to the level of competition probably more than anyone in the country the last couple of years, with near losses to bad Citadel and Furman (twice) teams, yet hanging in there with the mighty Bison in the playoffs.

I blame that closet full of teal shirts you have. :D

I kid.
Ha. Those got torn up in 2007 when Beat Coastal got started. Literally. Coach Rocco put them on the tackling dummies during Coastal week.

2-1 is the best realistic expectation.

That said, based on what happened on Saturday, I went with 0-3.
I don't see how 2-1 is realistic. Hopeful, but not realistic.

3-0 is completely unrealistic. I want us to beat WVU just as much as anyone on here, but it isn't realistic to expect us to beat them in Morgantown for a number of reasons.

I personally would list Montana and SIU ahead of us if I was ranking the three teams in order, based on how each team has performed so far this season. But it isn't unrealistic for us to expect the team to beat Montana and SIU in back to back weeks.

after what happened to Georgia Southern last week in Morgantown I am just hopeful we score a few TD's. Their D is very good. take the pay check and get out of there with no major injuries and a couple of scores and I'd call that a win.

I think it will be somewhat competitive in the 1st half but we will get blown out in the 2nd half. I just hope it doesn't get too out of hand.

About to round out this little 3 game prop bet SJ proposed. With a win Saturday we went through that stretch 2-1, and with a loss it was 1-2.

0-3 isnt an option because we beat Montana  What a huge victory for momentum and confidence.

As a result of being a Media Darling, Coastal benefits from getting a good seed come playoff time. Based on their schedule of cupcakes, they should get a #16 seed if they make playoffs and travel to the far corners of the earth for their playoff game. They should never be allowed to host in that high school stadium they have.
