Evan is a very solid broadcaster. Had a chance to hear quite a few Red Sox broadcasts this past year and really enjoy his calls.

Jibrille Fewell is yet another one of the Flames that has played every game of his LU career. After transferring in and earning a starting job last season, Fewell became one of the more respected defensive linemen in the Big South. Many of the players I talked to after Tuesday practices throughout the season would mention Fewell’s ability to be a leader on the D-Line, so this Tuesday I caught up with the man himself as he goes into what is likely his last game.
“If it’s my last game, I know it is going to be my best” the senior told us yesterday, “but I’ll do whatever it takes to play again.”

This week, Liberty travels to Charleston, SC, to take on the #16/18 Charleston Southern Buccaneers, hoping for a share of the Big South title. After successfully subduing Brevard’s triple option last week, the Flames will again face a great running game. The Buccaneers enter the game averaging 236.5 rushing yards per game. Junior running back Christian Reyes has 101.3 of those yards per game.
Reyes is coming off his worst game of the season, gaining only 32 yards with no touchdowns in an upset loss to Gardner-Webb last week. So, don’t look for him to slack off against the Flames. He’ll be trying to redeem himself, and looking to help his team get a share of the Big South title.

Liberty (7-4 overall, 3-1 Big South) faces #16 Charleston Southern (10-2, 3-1) in Charleston, South Carolina Saturday morning at 11:00. Yes, you read that right, 11AM. This will be the final regular season game for each team. With a win, the Buccaneers will clinch the Big South auto-bid to advance to the FCS playoffs for the first time in school history. If Liberty wins, they will clinch at least a share of the Big South title for the 6th time in 7 years.
