Yea, there's an ocean 9 miles away, about 80-90 golf courses, great seafood, outlet malls (if you're into that stuff).
Huge recruiting tools... Being at the beach has to be very attractive to many athletes coming in and other programs looking for an away game. This is why I'm surprised that CCU is still in Big South.

How can that many golf courses survive? That is insane.

Enough schools in other conferences don't like us for various reasons, thus we're still here.

In the recent economy the courses haven't been. It used to be around 100 courses +/-.

Yeah, I'll give you the ocean and golf, but the seafood there sucks. For that matter, all of the local food in Myrtle is terrible and overpriced. Seriously, if this is what we're arguing about, CSU has you guys beat.

I'm not a big seafood person (I stick to fish and that's it), but it's pretty good. Where did you eat where it was over-priced? As a (new) local, we don't get discounts at all, atleast not that I'm aware of, so I'm curious. When my wife and I go eat, we normally try to do the Early Bird. As for the golf, that can be expensive, and to me the courses are not worth what tourists have to pay. I can play CCU's course for about $25 and that's a helluva deal - they just redid the greens and bunkers 2 years ago and it's in good shape most of the time. Other places will charge you $60 and it's a complete dump.

I assume you're talking about Charleston the town, and not CSU the University. The first time I saw that place, I seriously thought it was either a military or mental institution.

It's a huge golf destination. Same as this area of Florida. We have over 100 courses between Fort Myers and Naples. It's awesome during the summer down here because the rates are VERY cheap. Once course we play frequently for $25 during the summer costs $179 between Christmas and March 31.

Thanks for finding that adam...I'd take Liberty to cover the 6 if I was a betting man. Unless we have a start like we did two years ago, this game is going to be a real fight.

No problem. I just don't think this team is good enough to hang with Coastal for 4 quarters - home or away. I'd like to be proven wrong, but I'm sticking with my 28-17 prediction.

I believe it is 19,3 and change (not sure of the exact number). I agree. I think with homecoming, the rivalry, Coastal being ranked so high, and the weather forecast, we have the perfect storm for a record crowd.
