You can stay in Gii'ville for free. I think the Chancellor or Athletic Dept pays for pizza to be delivered.....so I took care of 2 out of 3 :D

Seriously, I keep asking myself: How much are tickets?? $20 apiece? In today's America, you better be without housing to not be able to cut corners for a one-time entertainment of $40. Heck, that's what CREDIT CARDS are for!

(I'm only half joking.)

I can understand someone not being able to justify spending money on a sporting event. Also, If I was dying and someone came on a message board begging people I didn't know for a handout I would not be exactly happy. That would be compounded even more if I found out that same person begging for a handout for me actually had free tickets the following week.

Very interesting to say the least

Id see your point postman if you actually took the time to talk to my friend. She knew we had the tickets but she didnt accept them. Also, she thought it very sweet that I took the time to reach out and help them by trying to find tickets so that all four of us could go to the game together. As it turned out, she wasn't able to come to yesterday's game anyway (she had to get prepared for back surgery...complications from the epidural she got when she gave birth earlier this year).

Do your research before you make comments like that for future reference.

If you knew Ashleigh (the friend's name) like I know her, you would learn that she doesnt need anyone to stick up for her postie. Anyway, she wasn't offended that we went to the game, and is hoping to go with us to a game down the road once she gets her back figured out.

Ok, if she doesn't need anybody sticking up for her then she probably would prefer someone not coming on a message board begging for help.

Which is exactly my point. You keep making my point for me, so I do appreciate that! :)

Well as I said, she actually appreciated what I did. If you had actually talked to her about it, which you didnt otherwise you probably would not have made the point you did, you would have heard that from her personally, which is why I said to do your research (as in talk to people) before you cast those kind of aspersions on someone you havent ever met before.

How should I do this research? Stalk her on facebook? Hide in the bushes?? Please educate me on how to do proper research on someone who is probably way too kind to say what you did was slightly over the top because as you have pointed out she is very kind.

You're missing the point anyways. As always, I love you beej, you make this place interesting to say the least!

I saw several ways out of this predicament without posting a sob story on FF. but it's been awesome watching it unfold. The EQ of some posters is fun to compare and contrast.
Are we back?

Nice! Here is to hoping we can live bot free.
