I have a few friends from there. My question is how they became so prominent at this world cup. Everyone hated them but FIFA basically celebrated them.

When I was at LU, I would go see FSU whenever they played Wake, UVA up here. At UVA, we got 50 yard line tickets for $20 each. At Wake, they almost would give them away.

I bought tickets from LU when we played Wake a few years back. It was a mistake as there was a middle aged man giving some away.

The key is to look for an old white man one person with him. There is a possibility that he has two extra seats that he could not use. Wait for him next to the entrance to the stadium. He just wants to get rid of them so he can sit down. Old people are the best.
I have experience at GA Tech, UVA, UGA, UNC, Wake, FSU, VA Tech (pre-Vick), and USC (Columbia not LA).
I have never paid over face value, except when I was impacent.

No places to eat on game day, traffic for hours, no parking within miles, tickets that cost $100, seats located nowhere close to where you've become accustomed to b/c of the price increase...not to mention PSL's and other seating issues that come with elite programs.

It's one opinion, but it's an opinion from a guy that just left N.C. State's coaching staff a few days ago.
This week Jason Swepson took a step in his career and became a head coach at Elon University. He becomes the seventh Tom O'Brien assistant to become a head coach.
Besides a slight change in the coaching staff, Russell Wilson's looming decision is still simmering. Before N.C. State's bowl game, when Wilson was peppered about his baseball/football future by visiting media, he said there was nothing in his Colorado Rockies contract that prohibits him from trying to play one more year of football.
Swepson doesn't seem to think that's the case.
"I don't think it's his decision to tell you the truth. I think we all believe in Russell Wilson's talents. I think he's gonna be extremely successful in baseball and I don't see Colorado paying a guy that doesn't show up to work," Swepson told the Insiders on 620 The Buzz. "I know Russell Wilson, if he could do both like he did this past year I know he'll try to do that. I just don't see Colorado letting him leave. That's just my opinion."
That might make you think he knows something we don't know.
Swepson also talked about how "blessed" he's been to be around a guy with as special a work ethic as Wilson. He put the Wolfpack QB in a category with Matt Ryan, who Swepson also coached at Boston College.
Whatever happens with Russell Wilson probably has a lot to do with Mike Glennon's future as well. Glennon has been waiting in the wings for a while and only has two seasons of football eligibility left.
Another year of backing someone up is probably too much for him to take.
