that's quite a drop...going from one of the top prospects in the nation out of HS to landing at a Div-II school...hopefully he gets his house in order and doesnt waste his chance there

It is a step down, but I will say that CU of P is a top D2 program which has sent players to the NFL. Dave Smith was a starting WR for the Steelers for a couple of years. I wonder if this was because of different academic standerds in D2, or just because there were no D1 programs that were willing to take a chance on him.

Division I has a time clock. You have 5 years from the moment you step on campus to play your four years. Division II on the other hand goes by semesters and not an actual time clock.

The Bears start 4 players from the Division II Lone Star Conference when they play the Packers for the NFC Championship. If he gets it together, the NFL will find him.

Add John Kuhn, a fullback for the Packers to the list. Played at Division II Shippensburg while I was there and has had a nice run in Green Bay. Another former Ship standout who played with Kuhn around the same time is a starting DB for the Falcons, Brent Grimes. I believe he will be playing in Honolulu this weekend.
