Especially when you can argue that we played the conference better. We lost to a first place team, they lost to a sub-first place team. Us losing to them by a slim margin on the road doesn't mean we're all of a sudden unfit to claim the title.
Co-Champs is what you are. But they would have won the auto-bid if head-to-head is the tie-breaker.

Just in case noone knew, we're co-champs, but if the auto bid was for this year it would have gone to SBU.

I thought it was interesting that he made a point of saying they are aggressively recruiting O-linemen, and he is hoping to have one or more of them in for the beginning of the semester. Transfers?

I have a buddy of mine that went to Northeastern this year. He was supposed to go to GA tech as a TE or LB but some things happened that prevented that. All over his facebook he is talking about looking for a new school. The kid was a stud in high school.

I was only able to watch two games this season: WVU and VMI.

I was very impressed with the way LU played at WVU (my most hated school). I never expected them to answer touchdowns the way they did. I expected them to show up and play, but I also expected them to seem more intimidated and they weren't. I know a loss is a loss, but there is no shame in a 13 point loss to a team that's playing in the Gator Bowl. My pastor is a WVU grad and he came away surprised and impressed with Liberty.

VMI was an ugly one. I won't really comment on that one since a big digit win over VMI doesn't really give a good commentary on how the whole season went. I'll leave that up to you guys who were able to attend the games. :)

Even though Ball State football sucks, any win against an FBS opponent would be a good one. BSU is more than beatable for LU and I hope they're already worried. It wasn't that long ago (2008) that Ball State went undefeated in the regular season before losing the MAC champ game and their Bowl game finishing 12-2. So who knows what they're going to be like. My guess is bad though. Can anyone tell me if this is a paycheck game and tell me how much LU will make from it? Nothing better than getting paid to go beat a team on their home turf.
