I'm pretty sure that's how big the screen is going to be. It's 20x36. That looks about right tonight.

The more pics link states...24 tall and 88 wide...?? thats a little bit different than your number sj....
You're both right...the video section will be 20 x 36; the entire board will be 24 x 88. See the original article http://www.libertyflames.com/index.cfm? ... 1&TeamID=9

haha, were all in that boat...i will say though that 88 foot wide with HD capabilities is going to be very intersting....does anyone know if we are going to be using HD camera though? SD is ok, but to see replays on something that large is HD, wow!

from Chris' blog today:
—The new seats that were supposed to be installed in the stadium will have to wait until next year, I’m hearing.

BOOO

I'm not reading LANG anymore until he posts good news. 2 key injuries and now this.

At least the news on Aldreakis was good.

i think the 88 feet wide is the total length of the scoreboard, not just the screen. Though I wish it was 88 feet wide screen, it would look completely retarded if it was than only 24 feet tall. I mean, I like widescreen, but thats a little bit too much.

I hope that they will at least use the temp stands that they had at Homecoming last year. I'm not sure how many they sat, but they looked a whole lot better than the cheesy red seat stands that are placed haphazardly around the stadium. Homecoming, JMU, VMI should all be well attended games.

why is the scoreboard not perfectly rectangular? 24' on one side, 20' on the other?

I was riding into campus today and I saw the scoreboard and I swear when that thing is done I may hear an angelic chorus from on high. It looks that nice...

I'm gonna like how the white pillars look underneath. It will really jeffersonianize the stadium.

Soooo Big and looks so good. I hope it adds a monumental presence in the stadium. (which it will) I wouldn't like to see that if I am playing a away game.

Yeah because we've all heard how big jumbotrons are extremely intimidating.
