The original post about school colors makes some sense. Utilizing the other school color for the one game against a Big South school who uses red & white as their primary colors shows some creativity IMHO. It is not as if students would be stepping away from school colors.

Just my Image
So you're ok with people going against the school's administration when we have a couple thousand prospective students on campus coming to the game and wanting to know more about Liberty?
Perhaps if the administration or athletic department decided this would be a perfect time for a once a year blue-out it would make more sense. It is early enough in the week to make this happen starting with Convo tomorrow. That way it wouldn't destroy any momentum from the "Red Sea" concept moving on next week. Most major colleges have one week a year when they do something different to add a special flavor to a game that may lack some lustre. The white shirt/red tie deal didn't kill atmosphere the next week when everyone wore red. I think the students are smart enough to get when something is a special one-time deal and then return to red gear.

Now if the administration and athletic department come out strong saying everyone needs to wear red this week then I see your point. But I don't see this blue shirt discussion killing the red movement.

So the school should change up what they've spent thousands of dollars on over the past four months because a few students think we should wear blue? That seems a little dumb to me.

I would wear blue if they asked for it, although I wouldn't like it.

The CFAW shirt is for the entire weekend, not for the game. It's easier to get white or gray because they're cheaper. When they go to convo on Friday, they'll be told to wear red. If they don't have any red with them, then wear what they have.

In my day, if you started an active campaign to go directly against something that the school had put thousands of dollars into you'd have been in the dean's office toot sweet. As somebody who only gets to watch the games on TV, I can tell you that a sea of red looks a whole lot better than just about every other color -- except maybe Tennessee orange.

They let them know what color to wear ever time it's announced in convo. "We have a football game Saturday, get there early and wear red." Their CFAW hosts should also tell them to wear red.

If Jeff Barber got on stage tomorrow morning and said "Wear Blue"... then we would wear blue. We support the administration and their decisions, which is why we are so upset about people who are starting groups to go against the administrations wishes.

I seem to remember a while ago that when VT played at Texas A&M, all the A&M fans wore their traditional maroon, which energized the Hokies to hand A&M their first non-conference home loss in forever...simply b/c maroon is also a color that VT uses.

Encouraging the wearing of blue is nothing to get your panties bunched up over

For the record, Duke blue is VERY different from Carolina blue.

Is that why the athletic department has spent the morning taking down the signs? Is that why OPP is making a slide about wearing red to show in convo?

The athletic department can do what it wants...you and TTL are about to have a stroke over this.

This is something we care about. It's why we started the club that we did.
