You build a tradition and establish a recruiting foothold in top 3 zip codes and # 1 venue and invite Army, BYU, whomever and they all count as a home game vs. an FCS or whatever when no students come anyway....Call me Jerry F. , I have direct connect to Jerry J. - :)
Veterans Day Weekend - full blown Military Pomp and Circumstance - Jerry Jones gets all branches of Military showing off their wares outside the stadium ( and hold over for Sunday when Cowboys play ) Liberty U Annual Veterans Day Game - BYU every other year, Army and whomever alternate years, possibly ND 10 years from now - LU and Jerry donate a ton of free tickets to Military Personnel and if legal by NCAA - plenty of free tickets to DFW HS coaches. LU has a ton of Military online students ( granted probably very few are fans - but hey ).

Serious legit question. If Flame Fans can’t sell out a Home Game what are you basing your analysis on that they will be able to have a respectable showing in Dallas?

Purple - They won’t have a respectable showing. It will be all Military and opposing team fans.

Let's close crazy.
Been to away games and we do not draw, not even close to home.
military? Do you realize most military is not going to a game on Thanksgiving.
I am at home or with friends at their house and its is the same for a majority of military, the numbers are not there.
free tickets in San Diego and Military bowls still draws minimal military.
Hell, while in Europe there were some free tickets for an American bowl with the Dolphins and Niners and all of those did not go.
LU will not fare any better yall.

I will go a step further. Number of military personnel near Dallas under 4 Hour drive will not fill the stadium, not even half, quarter, tenth of those will come. Ever see a miltary paycheck. They will not travel for this.
Despite travel the numbers do not pan out for putting four pointed cotacts in the seat (that's a butt).

Based on all the information he provided, what makes you think Veterans Day (is that even on a Saturday?) would be better attended?

You have no vision! Anything can happen. I’m not saying it will happen I’m just saying that it might happen. So that when it does I will look like the visionary, you will look like a Doubting Thomas and I can claim I said it first. But again it also may not happen

It wouldn’t casually happen, would take a lot of effort and coordination.

We need to be playing BYU every year, if they wont come to Lynchburg on a 1 for 1 alternate years we move the location to Dallas which gives both teams a footprint in TX DFW ( which they stress they want and lamented loss of TCU rivalry )
LU BYU game not big enough to stand on its own - SO what could LU do to make it attractive to Jerry Jones and the public
Coordinate a long term deal with city of Dallas, Military, for nations largest Salute to Military on Veterans Day weekend Liberty U Annual Veterans Weekend ( now start envsioning bowl type surrounding events / sponsorships / concerts / Military trade show scheduled same weekend, patriotic high school competitions in stadium day of game with free tix to all participants, High School Coaches free tix, Military Personnel, Post game major concert(s) etc, etc, etc.
LU - 30k online students were Military last year. Almost 1/3rd of our online students. LU rated Number 1 college by Military.
Jerry Jones - always looking for college games/events for his venue -unabashed patriotic owner.
I literally have 30 plus line items jotted out that with half an hour of thinking of it that make this a win win for city, stadium, LU, Military, Conservatives, opposing team ( different team every other year if we play BYU in Provo for their portion of home and home ) - ARMY?
Would be a long term ( 10 year minimum ) plan that grows every year. First few years game is an afterthought - LU fans attendance minimal initially would grow as our program grows.
WEEKEND full blown patriotic weekend event with major sponsors. Game on Military Network worldwide.
Early years throwing every gimmick in the book to fill lower portion of the stadium with free tix for most everyone, few of whom will be screaming for LU - most are there casually for the pre and post activities.
Recruiting - LU plays in DFW in the nations most iconic Stadium every year.
Branding - ( no explanation needed )
$ - Jerry Jones gets concession rev - probably a tax write off for number of tix donated to military - hold over of a lot of military for Cowboys game next day ( when they are home )
LU $ - lot of sponsors want to be aligned with Military - could probably make this very profitable if in it for the long haul. Basically an in season Bowl Game - plus branding that drives online enrollment.

BUT since you guys all think I am an idiot I wont post about it anymore. Will just sit back and count down days for Syracuse kickoff.

If Jerry Jones thought this would be a good idea, what stops him from going straight to one of the academies who would actually draw a crowd instead of Liberty?

Speaking of "It could happen" - does anyone remember the basketball game in either 08 or 09 when one kid randomly stood up towards the end of the game to do the Angels in the Outfield wings and then the entire arena ended up doing it? I want to say it was the 08 W&M or GMU games but I can't remember.
