First few shots were right in front of the old visting team's locker room and the last very few were from the sidewalk behind the stadium

I'll check the interior this afternoon and see if there's anything photo-worthy.

Apologies, guys. I got all the way over there and whipped out my camera only to discover that I forgot to put the memory card in. I'll make sure I get something up tomorrow.

If you're desperate for a visual until then, I suggest going back to the prior photos I posted and imagining drywall. Lots of drywall.

That'd make the mot sense. Im hoping itll be in when I head back onto campus for drum camp first weekend in August. If they don't start until after the TRBC opening/ 4th of July celebration then chances are it may not be completely done until the returning students get back to town August 18-20

Im not actually. Im just a student offering an opinion on the situation based on what I have learned reading what all is being said on this particular topic. As I was typing that response I was thinking about that fact. All I was doing was making speculation as Im sure you guys would as well. But for sure I would by no means consider myself to be an expert in any sort of construction.

It needs to be in before training camp begins in August. We're going to have a real problem if the first time we set foot on it is Thursday night v Saint Pauls.

My concern is that they wait until after the Celebration to start ripping it out, and, under the gun to get it done too fast, they do a half-*** job. Hard to imagine that, huh folks (HEAVY SARCASM for the illiterate).

Yes, the TRBC-50 is a huge deal, but to compromise the installation of a major improvement at the Stadium for it is not too bright. I just hope, for once, that I am wrong in my cynicism.

(POST SCRIPT--posted following Libertine's post, below)

Glad they are starting, now. Of course, one has to wonder if they are just going to leave bare concrete for the celebration. That would work, then start laying the foundation for the new stuff on July 3.

A crew has begun ripping up the old turf. Here's the damage so far.

From the logo toward the new building.

View from the cab of the Cat. No great reason for getting this shot other than because I could.

In case you've ever wondered what our guys were playing on. That's about 3 inches of packed rubber over concrete and gravel.

That's a little sad to see. A lot of great memories were on that field. Well, a couple anyway. Did I mention I stayed to the end of the VMI game?
