I was hoping to eliminate playing 2 lower level teams. Disappointing! I would have preferred that we would play a 1A team also.

NC Central jacked LU around, and Glenville was about the only team that could play on Sept. 6. Rocco just didn't want that to be the bye week.

Why? The coaches and Barber said that they did not want to play up again this year, all it is is a paycheck at the expense of a loss.

Not a definate loss at all. We almost beat Toledo this year and if we would have won or beaten any Division 1A team it would have gotten us some serious notice.

Besides Pamedic.. I don't you would have liked the alternative @ Lehigh then @ West Car then @ Youngstown then @ Coastal.... That's what it was going to be....

I'm excited about this after being at the press conference yesterday. We have 7 home games (First time ever) and all of them are very winnable. Youngstown on the road is definitely going to be a challenge, Western Carolina has a brand new coach so really it'll be interesting to see how we do at their place down in Cullowhee. We have never won at Coastal so hopefully we get end that string after ending our losing streak to them last year.

I was talking to a friend last night about the schedule and he said that we could very well go undefeated...I don't know if Id venture it that far but we really could get 10 wins out of it

For those of you that are up for early predictions: Predict our record next year and whether we make the playoffs and/or win the conference.

No predictions yet, but I will say I don't think we make the playoffs if we have more than 1 loss with this schedule.

Alot depends on how good the conference is, Youngstown St, Elon, and WCU. If 2 of those 3 are ranked in the top 15 all year and WCU at least has a respectable year, and the Big South has a pretty good year, I think 10-2 could get us in the playoffs.

It is too early to predict, but, I think that playoffs are not that far out of the question, because I think a one loss season, or undefeated season, is not out of the question. Do I think it's going to happen? I don't know, don't know anything about our opponents yet. However, I do know that we are going to have a good enough team to hang with pretty much anyone on our level, with our HUGE offensive line, our amazing (veteran) running game, and a defense that can make some plays and create turnovers.

As for the playoffs, that tends to work itself out. Had we closed the door at Toledo or Williamsburg and we probably were in last year with three losses with a similar schedule to next year. Let's just take care of business on the field and worry about the rest come Turkey Day.

please please please schedule the return trip to Lehigh that same season! I could make as many roadies as I have home games in the last 2 seasons!

I didn't make it to the Elon game last year, but did listen to it on the net. Any feedback on how we are going to respond to their QB trying to come to LU and throw for 750 yards as we prepare for Thanksgiving? One answer: D line taking his head off on play #1, but....didn't we have serious secondary challenges in that game?
