It would make sense geographically of course, and also academically, but ND and the Big 10 went round and round for decades over ND's independent status in football. ND was not willing to become a full member and give up their football indy status and the Big steadfastly refused to cut a deal like the ACC did. Neither is going to budge and it will never happen.

Tough games......... no doubt about it, but frankly the only one I believe is not winnable is Auburn. A lot will depend on whether we can avoid further attrition from the current roster and leverage this schedule into by far our best recruiting class ever in 2018.

It's a pet peeve of mine, but the other thing I believe we MUST do is become more creative/innovative on offense. I believe we have some real weapons, but our coach's job is to put those weapons in a position to excel, and that's hard to do if the defense knows exactly what is coming. I really don't know if Daley is up to the job. He needs to really show us something next season, or I think he should be gone.
