See, that surprises me. I went to one of those Winterjam things or whatever it was where both Toby and Mike were there doing solo stuff and they came together twice during the night to do old DC Talk songs.

its been going on for years though...2 will be all for it and one won't want to...from what i have heard its not the first time toby hasn't wanted to...but there has been times where he has and one of the others haven't...i don't know why...but yeah...

a reunion at an LU homecoming would only makes sense though and I would be excited to see it happen as would the majority of alumni....and yes...there would be easily over 20,000 people here for that if it did happen

Although if you really think about it, Toby is obviously fine on his own possibly even better off solo and doesnt need either of the other two, so why should he be up for it?

The other two could really use Toby Mac next to them. Something tells me Tait isnt as big as DC Talk was

Not a DC talk fan here. But do fans still listen to their old stuff? It doesn't seem like something that would hold up over time. Maybe that's just because I didn't like it in the first place. If it doesn't a reunion might just be a big disappointment for everybody.

i don't listen really anymore...but if they would reunite for a concert I would be there and I would enjoy it...I saw them once and nobody puts on a show like DC Talk...they are older now...but I am sure if they had one concert at lets say an LU homecoming that they would be able to recreate a lot of that....

I believe he's afraid of the backlash of joining someone who is so open about his stance now that's his main concern

I would go to a DC talk reunion concert if they had one, never been to one of their shows before.

Glad to hear Kevin is coming around. I've detected a more positive attitude from him lately than a few years ago. Then again, he does have some music and a movie to promote and there would be worse moves than to play up to his fellow LU alumni & students.

My guess is Toby might be the hold out since he is doing exceptionally well in his touring and it might be tough scheduling. But on the tour schedule on his website he is in the Carolinas the week before which happens to be the last dates posted. I can't find a current tour schedule for Mike.

Incidentally Toby's new concert film/DVD was recorded here in Houston back in November with yours truly Sly Jr. in the house. He was in town last week for a red carpet premiere just a couple miles from my house. But I was working at the CBS station and couldn't take Sly Jr. much to his dismay.

i agree that if they did a postgame concert all attendance records would be shattered.

I'm sure if we wanted it to happen we could start a facebook group and have everyone email them and beg them to get back together for homecoming... but i don't care enough to put up the effort

Their stuff on Free At Last and the mainly rap stuff like that wouldn't hold up. However, the stuff as they got older with Supernatural, some of Jesus Freak, and those albums can really last. I don't know anyone who listens to it regularly right now but I think a lot of people would come to a reunion concert just to say they were there.

In all seriousness a reunion could go down as the biggest thing in Christian Rock...and break records as far as ticket sales go...look how many million units they've sold...and still get great air play 7-10 years after the fact

I am surprised they all wouldn't do it for publicity reasons alone. It would be awesome to be a part of that.

I'm guessing that is Kevin's motivation.

if they ever did do a reunion it would help all of them...I know Toby has done very well for himself and stayed pretty much on top of things in the Christan music market...but its still nothing compared to the run DC Talk made with Jesus Freak and Supernatural...I just don't ever see it happening....

I always figured you'd go with an avatar like this:

But I guess that movie was kind of a bomb.

This is what I heard from many, many alumni about last year's homecoming.

The meal was rather weak but you couldn't beat the price. But having everyone sitting at tables by decade led me to bump into a number of people I hadn't seen in years. It is tough to do that in Williams Stadium.

As soon as anyone hears about any homecoming events or schedule bring them here. It appears it will be rather limited on sports compared to last year when nearly everyone had a home game.

By the way, that'd be a way to break every single possible attendance record we'd ever had before. Put that concert on the field after the game and you bring in 20,000 that day.

I wouldnt be staying
