Maybe contrast is the better word. You argue that Rashad is faster. And he is obviously bigger, but is he stronger? Gado is shorter and has a lower center of gravity, making him great for those red zone runs.

You are correct. In a nutshell, that is what I was saying.

You keep saying this 1500 number like it's going to be easy. There's one thing you have to remember: he's not going to be playing the entire game in a few games. The two Division II schools he won't touch the ball after halftime. You'd also have to think that we're going to get a big lead on at least one or two of the other teams where he won't play much in the fourth quarter. That will cut down his yardage. He would have to average 125 yards per game to get 1500 yards. With how much he'll be sitting in some games, along with how much he catches the ball, 1500 yards rushing isn't a given. 1500 all-purpose yards definitely is if he's healthy, but 1500 is going to be tough to get on the ground.
1,500 isn't easy granted but your arguement does have some flaws. If these DII schools blow than 125 rush yards in a half isn't that far out of the question. I mean if Rashad gets thru the linebackers and he has a safety or a corner between him and 6........you know he is breaking at least 1 out of 3 of those for huge gains, so it depends on what kinds of holes the O-line can open up.

You also have to factor in Brock into Rashads stats, if he(brock) struggles one game our options may be just to pound the ball and he could get 250 yards which would allow him fewer yards in other games. Brocks one glaring weakness that he still has to prove to me( and i know there are others who also see this) is the he can sell the screen and throw it accuratly after luring in the defense. He has to do that with greater consistency before i believe Rashard will start catching that many passes.

I think Rashad will get drafted because of his size and the combo of power and speed that cider was talking about. But his draft stock obviously hinges on the type of season he has next year.
Rashad is quick in the open field (Toledo), but he takes too long in the backfield, dancing around and not hitting a hole. And with those holes possibly harder to come by this year with new faces on the o-line, I don't think 1500 is easy at all (also because of SJ's listed reasons).

Unless he improves dramatically in hitting a hole quickly, I don't think he gets drafted. Imo, undrafted FA is how he'll start his career in the league.

Yeah, that 1500 number that is being thrown around will be hard to come by. But if he works hard he can get it. I agree with you though. If he doesn't have a good yeah he will start as an undrafted free agent. But with a good year, he could be a good second day pick up in the draft.

You make great points. It's possible, but isn't going to be easy.

I would've agreed with you about that pre-bye week last year. After the bye week, I think he finally felt comfortable with his ankle and he was a completely different type of runner. I don't know how many games you were able to see last year, but he improved on that aspect (dancing before hitting the hole) a lot as the season went on.

I saw four games in person, but the last one was the Coastal game, so you probably had more time to be convinced of his improvement in that area. Being 100% for a full year - I'd welcome a dazzling season.

Anyone have an early idea how deep the draft will be next year at RB?
