This fall it was announced Liberty is Playing Virginia in 2013 if im not mistaken? Why wouldnt they just add another year to the contract to where Rocco was coaching then and we arent going through a possible coaching transition against them? At the same time, who knows whats going to happen in the next 6 years, but still.

I have been known to do that from time to time on here just to get some opinion even though I do take a beating but it doesn't really matter. At least I know where they stand.

You do have some good points about Brock and I see where you are coming from and some of Brock's better performances have come against "questionable" competition at best. The losses to some of the better teams are not all of his fault as in some of the games he put us in a position to win and someone else blew it. Examples woud be this year's W&M, Toledo, and last years games vs Towson, W&M, Coastal, and GW.

Getting back to Rocco's extention. It is good to see LU is taking steps to make sure Rocco doesn't go somewhere else so we can continue in the rebuilding process. Rebuilding a football program that was ounce in shambles takes time and it is good to see that the proper steps are taken. Building a 1AA power even at LU and in the Big South is possible even with the obsticles we have to overcome, so right now we have to trust that Coach Rocco can do it.

You just mentioned every loss the past two years except Elon and Wake. So basically, what you're saying is Brock has done his job in every game under Rocco except for one. One bad game out of 22 isn't bad.

Not saying he didn't have a bad game in the other losses. He just didn't choke when the game was on the line on the final drive. For instance he was not sharp in the losses in last year's losses to Towson, W&M, GW, and Coastal, and only so so in this year's W&M and Toledo game. Maybe under different circumstances he and the LU team pull those close games out.

Bottom line, Brock is a good I-AA quarterback. He's made some mistakes, but he's also put us in a position to win many games. Would it be awesome, and would we win games like that Elon massacre, if we had, you know, Carson Palmer taking snaps? Of course. But we don't have Palmer on our team. We have Brock. And for the time being, that's good enough.
