From what I saw, and we all know that my vision can be suspect, is that KK and Rashad had some issues over non football things. Grades, Atitude, accountabiity etc. KK said some things he didnt like. No great conspiracy. I am not sure I disagree with KK on those things, but I will say WHO CARES.
The guys played SCARED under KK, but LOVE playing now. KK DID bring in some talent, and it looks like with those kids and the new ones my hopes are high for a great football season!! These kids know what life was like under the old regime and everyday is a blessing. I do fear we may be trading some, for lack of a better word, "citizenship/stewardship" for talent and wins, but at least we are doing it for a reason. Chris, I was hoping you would have brought up the "Ketchup" quote from a few years ago. (He said one of the signs God gave him to go to Pitt was his love of Ketchup!) He should be a nice bruising back for us to punish those little Chanticleers and Bulldogs! 1000 yd season? Maybe, just maybe.

someone ask rashad that even if kk had offered him what he wanted, would he have chosen LU over Pitt?... I don't think so.

- a star athlete such as rashad going to PoDunk U?...i don't think so.
- choosing a small 1AA program over a 1A much larger program? ...i don't think so.
- choosing no exposure over more exposure?....i don't think so.
- choosing to be under the watchful eye of mom, dad and big brothers as oppose to the opportunity to be away from home
(like all kids do at that age want to do) all expenses paid?....i don't think so.

i seriously believe he would have turned LU down no matter what. i believe that because of samkon gado's success, sam put LU on the map and opened a lot of eyes. don't get me wrong. i'm thrilled that rashad is at LU. i believe God took rashad away from "home" just for him to see how much of it he was missing.

i can't wait for the season to begin!! go flames!

I think Rashad came to LU because of Rocco. Had Karcher still been here this year, Rashad would've been at UVA this year. I think a lot of it had to do with Karcher.

I agree with both of the last two posts. I'm just thrilled it worked out the way things did.

Gado helped us when it comes to getting on the map in the 2000's....but we've hap others who have had great success, but I think Jennings' brothers and fathers health caused him to rethink LU, then having Rocco sealed it....don't forget the great respect he has for Rocco's brother and that also helped....but like Sly said regardless or why or what, it did happen and we just need to be thankful

I thought Wanstadt wouldn't release him to UVA

Rashad has made it known to us in each interview that Wandstat was not going to ever release him to UVA...I have the audio and the promo that we ran for two months if you want to hear it... But I still love you Superjon
