Other than wide receivers, everyone in our offensive starting lineup, is heavier than their heaviest player.

We have four guys on offense that are shorter than their tallest player (6'3) and they're all 6'2.

Their interior defense (D-line and interior backers) are an average of 6'0 and 217 pounds.

Our smallest offensive lineman is 6'2, 275. Our average offensive lineman size is 6'5, 297 pounds.

I think we can run the ball down their throats.
Well shoot, I don't even know why we are going to play the game then....you guys weigh so much more and are so strong...I'd rather us just take the week off....get out of here....I don't know who is going to wn the game, but if you guys do it won't be because you weigh more

Don't act like you guys are the first team we have played that outsizes us....in fact, every team we have played has outsized us....but somehow we have won 5 games...and have been in every one in the 4th quarter...with all your ACC/SEC linemen, your NFL strength coach, and (drumroll please) Rashad...why have you only beaten 1 D-I school (I'm not counting non-scholy St. Francis) and that school was Charleston Southern, a team we beat 42-0 as a D-II team and who we have beaten 12 out of 13 times played.....

At least we didn't give up 30+ and almost lose to an NCCAA D-II school, we handily held our weaker opponents to smaller yardage and point totals.

If you are gonna go that route to compare our teams.

Because we lost in double overtime to W&M, dropped a game winning pass against Toledo, and ran into the first place team in the Southern Conference.

Size doesn't win every game. However, your team has never played one as big as ours. You have to look at things in context. We were talking about "running the ball down the throat." When an offensive line outweighs a defensive line/linebacking corps by 70 pounds, and the running back outweighs that same group of people, I'm pretty sure they can get a good push.

It's actually 12 out of 14 and one of those two they won was the last time they played you.

Since we're talking numbers, this is the biggest crowd Presby will have played in front of this year. The next closest was the 11,188 that they played in front of at Furman. Our crowd is likely the most hostile they've played in front of too, seeing as they are in front of 8000 students the entire time.

We need some students over on the other side where I sit. It is soooo BORING!! Not much cheering or chanting at all. I've seen more enthusiastic fans at the local high school games! The cheerleaders dont even come over there to cheer, probably because they know they wont get much crowd participation.

thats because everyone over there wants to sit down, and if someone stands up they tell them to sit down.

I just don't think the folks on the reserved seating side know how to handle themselves. Most of them are LU grads with no experience in cheering on a good football team. They think what the students do is fun, but that they're too old for it. They seem like they would get up and make some noise if it just didn't feel so awkward. When I stand and yell, they do. Maybe it's time to mix in a row of students every other row.

It's a good problem to have... just a few short years ago, they weren't even coming.

I agree with everything gobluehose has said.. size hasnt mattered before why should it matter this saturday.. who cares how many points we've given up. or yards.. we have 5 w's... and in the end thats all that matters. it should be a good game, and i hope liberty underestimates us just like vmi and coastal did.. go bluehose

I hope we do too. It shouldn't matter much. You can pass on us if you're Elon and you can pass on us if you're PC. Lucky for us, you seem to turn the ball over a good amount. And Rashad will be averaging 15 yards/carry.

I think maybe the underestimating is going the other way right now.

Surprise, surprise. The cult of the High School Coach has a plurality of followers.

I just can't get past this part of your comments and stop laughing to read and swallow the rest.
It's like go green trees or go purple shirts or go orange shoes. I just can't believe noone has changed the name.

Anyway, we still blow your little line off the ball and run fro BIG numbers on Saturday!

aren't we all giving PC respect for their past two wins?? its not like we are coming out and saying they suck so bad, we are going to kill them....we are stating the facts...we are much bigger and we will overwhelm them....will our defense be able to step up again?? who knows...I hope so...but this PC team is much better then anybody else thought..

so all you PC fans coming on here talking as if we are disrespecting your team are reading way too much into things we are saying...

you guys are better then we thought you would be...but VMI is worst this year then last...and Coastal is dealing with a lot of crap off the field right now...they were great wins for sure...but those teams aren't Liberty

I think this game will be competitive til the 4th...

The following is not meant to denigrate PC and their accomplishments (for once):

VMI is historically bad this year and I mean epically so. They struggled to score on Lock Haven. Let me say that again and at double volume. LOCK HAVEN!!! (Where my PSAC peeps at?)

Coastal is looking more and more like Britney Spears right now. Previously smokin' hot, dragged a little to start the year and now in full head-shavin' collapse mode. Got embarassed on TV. Even had a couple of the kids hauled away by the authorities. So what I'm saying here is, nailing Coastal is great but it isn't really what it used to be.

(Of course, there is still pleasure to be taken in the nailing.)

Both. That's what makes it a good analogy.

No one wants to answer this question on the other thread, so I'll ask it here. Is it true there's a supposedly 3,000 year old dinosaur in your creation "science" museum? The Wikipedia article on LU hints there might be, so I wanted to hear the truth from people who know for sure.

I honestly don't even know where such a place is located if it's even still around.
