They seem to think a lot of doom and gloom for this game. The two predictions from their fans were 77-3 and 63-7.
I can only hope that Liberty is still riding high off of their big win at Baylor and comes out overconfident and flat, clearly overlooking our upset minded Eagles. If this happens, I can see a respectable 63-7 loss.

Consider this: our ideas of what 20,000 is or looks like are based on us being told an official attendance of 20k+, when in reality it was a much lower number.

My guess is that approximately 2500-5000 have been added to the real count when announcing the official attendance. We are not FBS officially yet, but part of the transition, I'm assuming, is the reporting of those numbers. I don't recall any required attendance minimums or averages by the NCAA at the FCS levels. But we all know they exist at the FBS level. Beginning with the transition, there are guidelines which must be followed for the reporting of attendances. Since this is the first time they have existed at Liberty, I believe you can expect an adjustment to the numbers one may expect based on sight alone at the game.

Yes, PH, it is a time-honored tradition. One of the many left behind in this transition.

I'm just saying not to get hopes up. And an official attendance less than 20k shouldn't be considered a disappointment if we understand the reasons why.

FBS attendance policy is very relaxed. No way has Eastern Michigan met those requirements. Pepsi just buys a ton of tickets in order for them to meet it. I would expect if Liberty had issues meeting the requirement Liberty would just buy the extra tickets to meet the requirement. It only requires 15k and I don't see that being an issue. Coastal Carolina on the other hand...

You're assuming it will be left behind. Even at the FBS level. It will have to be. It would look horrible if the attendance number actually went DOWN after the move to FBS

The reported number will plateau until we don't need to inflate it.

Regardless of attendance, I look for parking to be a problem. Especially general admission or public parking. I reviewed parking map, and parking is very limited unless one has a parking pass. I believe TRBC lot was closest to Stadium.

yep, welcome to FBS,
Parking garage next to softball for those without a pass. If you have friends that tailgate early, you can get in near the bottom for the quick out

I snagged my parking pass today.

Purchase a Flames Club membership and you get a parking pass.

This isn't 1985 and they are not giving out free LU football tickets at the Wilco cash register.

Suddenly wr depth could become an issue as wel with the news that mcconell is out for the year. This makes the farrow elibity issue all the more important. Obviously AGG and king are the top 2 and stubbs looked more than ready but with this up tempo we will need atleast 5. More opportunities for fitzgerald and spence jones.

Even with losing McConnell for the year and the question mark surrounding BJ, which continues to be a weird situation to me. Although I remember when he first got to LU he didn't qualify with the NCAA clearinghouse at first so he sat out the first year (if I am remembering correctly, which I may be way off). Nevertheless, Kentory Matthews could become a VERY valuable asset to our receiving corps as they mentioned putting him in the slot. If we lose BJ for the entire year that would hurt, but McConnell doesn't hurt us as bad as it seems. Especially with Cephas and Fitz stepping up like they did. Plus, if your open. . . BUCKSHOT IS GONNA FIND YOU!

Excited for Buckshot and the O's encore performance tomorrow
