I'm not upset at all. I get the joke because I know there's a relationship. I said I can't believe Jeff (a guy who is keenly aware of appearance and perception) tweeted that. From a purely PR perspective, it's not a great look for the AD to post an angry faced response to a fan who decided to watch the game instead of go to it.

If Dave Hart responded to a Tennessee fan with that exact same message, it'd be talked about on the radio and in the newspaper this morning.

The difference between Tenn and LU is about 80,000 fans on a Saturday afternoon. If you have the finances to go to the game and you live less than an hour away from the stadium, then you need to find a way to get to the stadium on homecoming. It's pathetic if you don't.

Everything in this post minus what's striked out is the perfect example of the disconnect people on this board have with normal Liberty supporters.

The average fan - which, by the way, is 80% of our fan base - doesn't schedule their fall around Liberty football. They'll check to see if there's a game, what time it is, who we're playing, and what the weather will be. Just like some fans bailed on a game earlier this year because it was hot, others are going to bail on the first cool game of the season, especially if it's against something called Monmouth. For a guy who has worked in collegiate and professional ticketing offices, I'm amazed that you don't realize that.

Jon, my comment about UT vs LU is relevant because Liberty needs/wants every single fan possible. The need is much greater when 17K-20K people show up for your game vs. 90K-100K. Makes a big difference. I get that most Liberty fans are casual fans and that probably won't change for a long time.

Attendance : This is a Big South Issue. The hype of the FBS was enough to keep crowds interested for a year, but we are back to only drawing for good opponents.
Ron Brown : Texting an offer is a written offer.
Masha on the Bench : He seems too fast and too strong to be sitting entire games , especially when we are blowing a team out.
