Just goes to show you QB's, WR's, RB's and MLB's are over rated. O-lines and D-lines win games.

I may be a glass half-full kind of guy, but the chances of LU winning the auto-bid are slim. A lot of things have to happen and like my brother who posted earlier, "so your saying there's still a chance." However, I have a better chance of being wished happy reformation day today than seeing LU win the auto-bid.

On a more positive note, I do think if Josh Woodrum's glamorous prediction comes true and we do win out, I think things fall into place where we get an at-large bid. I know the GW loss is disastrous, but I do think our strength of schedule, having an FBS win, and wins over 3 top 25 and potentially top 20 FCS teams will be enough. But none of this matters if we don't win out.

They got the CCU/CSU game on TV locally here in South Carolina. CSU has flat out outplayed CCU in this first half. CSU's QB is causing all kind of problems with running around the pocket. CSU has scored on every one of there drives. I wouldn't say a win against both of these teams would be impossible, Liberty will have to play their best football.

Really...looking over Coastal's schedule, with the exception of SCSU, they really haven't dominated their road games. They had a 3 pt win against Furman and 3 pt win over Monmouth. They are struggling on the road right now against a good CSU team. I'm starting to believe that a win over Coastal is very possible. I know everything I just pointed out doesn't mean that much but Coastal is not unbeatable.

Knock on wood.

On this Halloween night, Charleston Southern is beating Coastal Carolina 33-25 with less than 3 minutes remaining in regulation.

CCU can't convert on 4th down....CSU will win this game. WOW!

Coastal has been playing with house money in every game this year except the Alabama A&M game...you had to figure that their luck would run out at some point or another

I agree with you, not really a surprise. However, it is done. Final score. And nice to see it happen.

Here is the scenario I came up with just a moment ago:

KSU had 1 conference loss and CSU has none. If KSU beats CSU, and then we beat CSU (although obviously Jon has that chalked up as a loss already so I guess we have no shot) AND Coastal, and of course Presbyterian next week, and KSU loses to Coastal, all 4 teams could potentially finish with 2 losses. In that convoluted scenario (I did use that correctly right Cider?), Liberty actually would win the autobid because they would have the head to head over the other three teams in the tie

Or basically what JFF said in fewer words

KSU over CSU, it could happen. We beat CSU and Coastal? That's the big deal.

We would JFF...we would need KSU to lose to Coastal though because they only have 1 conference loss at this juncture as I noted above

The potential fly in the ointment though is G-W. They only have 2 losses right now. If THEY somehow win out, beating CSU and CCU in consecutive games, they would win the auto bid, by virtue of their win over Liberty.

Don't forget that Gardner Webb needs another loss in the conference as well, because with only two losses, they beat us head to head.
