came out wrong, but this would be my only issue, within the offense. I understand Petey is doing his thing, but I personally feel Woodrum, is targeting him just a lil bit too much. There were a couple throws where he hit the TE but only after the whole world new is was going to Petey first. I really believe we have to get oethers in the game a little bit more. Our passing game will falter alot(which when he went out it did) if Petey is gone for any stretch of time.

Also, I will say on the long pass to Shells, Woodrum did a good job of impersonating cash money Manziel, as he spun away, rolled toward vistor bench and heaved a prayer, the TV version showed Shells has basically stopped then retook off once he spun out of trouble. Good play.

I still think our DBs have not really been tested, Coach Roberts has them well prepared for what they will be seeing during the week. That 10yd out pattern is basically a given based on cov play. from both teams, and if a team has to rely on trick plays (ala reverse double pass) then it def shows the boys are doing a decent job.

Only critique I have (as a former DB myself) is they have to do a better tackling job, my kid included. The one thing they are doing for sure is flying to the ball, and person making first contact is doing enough, that when the calvary gets there, the party is over. You just don't want to have to rely on that.

Thanks for the info. 40 is just the maximum limit for the NEC and actual amount can vary quite a bit from school to school. According to one article, Wagner stretched 38 athletic scholarships among 61 players by combining the athletic scholarships with other financial (need based or academic mainly) aid from the institution (http://www.college-sports-journal.com/i ... 8-equal-61). Other NEC schools do similar things.

In a couple of years, the NEC schools are really going to be hurting once the Patriot League fully implements football scholarships.

I thought the Refs were one of worst crews to call a game at LU, and there have been some bad ones.

There were several calls that defied logic.

I watched their pregame show last Monday night I believe. He is a pretty funny guy. Almost as good as Coastal"s old coach. We need some dawgs. :)

I wish Gill would let that personality show more often. From what everyone involved with the team says, he's got a great personality. He just seems so closed off and fake stoic. Maybe I'm weird, but I have an easier time pulling for a guy as a coach/player when I feel like I could like him off the field.

You have to realize the situation he came from. That will leave you shell shocked for awhile and make you much more cautious

Realizing that you got paid $2 million for each win at Kansas would leave a lot of people shell shocked. :D

Totally get that. And hopefully as he gets more comfortable, he continues to let the personality come through. Our fan base will go through hell and back for a coach they like.
