In all honesty my expectations before the season were not very high. I expected us to finish 2nd in the conference and that is about where we'll be. It is just hard to swallow after the way we lost against ODU and especially Coastal.

I know that we will make the playoffs this year. For five years, I have planned my Thanksgiving and subsequent December weekends with the flexibility to go to any location in the country for a playoff game. This year, I made plans to do something different. That's just the way it works.

If Liberty gets in, they are going to be part of the bidding for home games, and I think its pretty safe to assume that they are gonna open up the vault and make sure that Liberty gets a home game for the opening weekend

While bidding is involved, I wouldn't say anything is safe to say in regard to the playoff committee.

This reminds me a bit of 2008 when we went into the season finale needing to win to have a shot at an at large bid plus some help. We beat 12th-ranked Elon to finish 10-2 and even saw some other bubble teams lose and we still didn't get in. In fact, the selection committee acted like we weren't even in the last couple left out. Thankfully there are more at large bids these days with the expanded playoff field.

Of course, all of this discussion is moot without a win over the Bucs.

Thanks for the clarification, LURadioPxP. I usually pop up ESPN3 muted for visuals and then pipe in the audio stream from our you when we have the "Big South" crew working the games in either football or basketball.
