anyhoo.

watched the replay on ESPN 3 after work and was impressed with a road shutout. i knew it had been a while since we did that vs a D-I team; MANSON/DUKE confirmed it hadnt happened since @GW in '07 or something.

nice to see the D step up, esp the D-line with a ton of sacks. SIGMON was- well, SIGMON. Again. love that kid.

I was underwhelmed with #6, esp in the first half. Those overthrows were brutal. I don't know whats going on there- he had been better with accuracy, so I thought. And is it just me or does he have a weird throwing motion. Quick, over the top sometimes.

the stuff to Apon, esp up the seam- was beautiful. Feed that beast and he will roll downhill baby. Shame we waited this long to figure that out.

nice to see Gagliardi get some looks too.

rushing... meh. But GW's D isnt awful either so that wasnt to surprising. Just think Woodrum needs to go back to work on the deep ball.

nice win tho. on to the next one.
It was a nice win. I was concerned about this game because I saw it as a quality team on the road after an emotional game, win or lose, the week before.
Speaks a lot about the Coaching staff to keep they guys up and motivated for a game like this.

Solid win! Good comeback game. 4th quarter still had some questionable calls. The amount of passing near the end of the game again brought back the "hurry up and win" logic. Why cant we run the clock out with our superior running game? A better team would have exploited some of the passing mistakes.

Well if we don't pass ppl are upset that were taking our foot off the gas, and now if we run then were not aggressive enough, it can't be both ways.

Really there wasnt as much pressure on the offense because the defense was doing a lot more playmaking this particular game. Really we wont be playing any superior defenses these last 4 games (even CSU). I got a chance to watch the game this morning (missed church this morning because of allergies AND sinus congestion) and I really liked a lot of the playcalling...especially the pass to Apon on the first play of the fourth.

I had no problem with us trying to make things happen in the 4th. We are not in the position to play conservative and expect to win.

Lang had a great stat in Sunday's paper: this was the first Gill coached team to ever throw a shutout. None of his Buffalo or Kansas teams ever did, so Coach Gill experienced a first at LU. :clapping
