The TO floodgates opened up tonight :D After not getting any in the last 4+ games we hit the mother-load. Defense (Wimberly) should get the game ball. I'm happy for Brian Hudson. This can be a pivotal game for our program going forward. Well done guys :football

Attendance 14,400+ :(

Everybody was hoping for a winning field goal. Fortunately, with SB committing 5 turnovers, we didn't need a 50-60 yard field goal for the win. Doubling their score 28-14 was even better.

According to the post-game show on the radio, in the history of LU/LBC football, we had never beaten a #6th nationally ranked opponent--until tonight! :clapping

Best game I have seen the guys play in 5+ years. Absolutely the best tackling I have ever seen from a LU team in the history of the school, the guys really stepped up tonight. Congratulations, Go Flames!!!!

From Liberty Flames.com "The Flames' stout defense was paced by Sigmon, who finished the game with nine tackles, two tackles for a loss, a forced fumble, a 21-yard interception return for a touchdown and a pass breakup."

Sick!!!

Ditto on the tackling. After the first drive we locked them down and sealed the edge and stuffed the middle. Essington is an absolute bum when the pocket closes on him, he just throws it up for grabs like Favre. I really think they have been so used to just running over teams on the ground so they weren't used to having to throw to get back in it. That's two straight weeks of great defense minus about 3 plays.

Stony Brook's O line and receivers were huge, looked like us with Pinigis, Ausberry, Sene and comp. back in the day.

Lunsford crushed that FG he missed, he's a legit weapon from 55+

There was and is a lot to play for; 3 way tie for title, winning season, possible playoffs, momentum, recruiting, and confidence for the new players. We as a fan base needed to see this to show us that things are coming in place.

Such in depth analysis..... I feel the sincerity just oozing from the screen
I have also complemented quality wins. There just hasn't been many under JB hires.

I am surprised that as the HC Gill is only getting minimal love when he is normally being crucified on a weekly basis, people asking for his job on the regular. HE had HIS team and STAFF ready today. Def something to build on. Great game if u saw it live

Intro wasnt that bad, def had me kinda hyped like I was playing again

As a football, and Flames fan, who hardly ever gets to experience a home game from the stands, I wanted to post a few thoughts on the day. My first impression was, WOW...what an atmosphere for a home game. The traffic was heavy, yet the police and parking attendants were on top of their game and it was smooth sailing as far as getting to the game was concerned. Everyone had a smile on their face and made you feel happy to be there. Next thing I observed was the Midway with all the concessions and food choices...if you left there hungry it was nobody's fault but yourself. The ambassadors and event staff people were very professional and made us feel right at home in the stadium and we had great seats were we were located. I have to say one thing at this point about the concessions. The lines moved very quickly and the food and the people were very friendly and greeted us with a smile in the midst of what seemed a lot of confusion. I loved the game and even found myself chanting "third down and move those chains" which I normally don't do at games. I couldn't help myself. The military halftime show was also excellent and I must admit that I did have tears in my eyes during the moment of silence which I tried to hide but couldn't. In all, my wife and I and friends had a great time, watched a great game and capped off a great day with over fourteen thousand new friends that I felt a bond with. Thank you Jeff Barber, Chancellor Falwell, Kevin Keys and your entire staffs for helping to make our first home game experience one that I now have a better understanding of and won't forget. PS.... I haven't missed a home or away game this year, but I have other responsibilities on game day. If you missed yesterday home game, you missed an "Experience of a Lifetime."

Give it up ToC...your same old song and dance is long since past its expiration date...so much so that even you attempts at "congratulations" ring hollow. If you want to call anyone out...call out the guy who hired JB and the guy who kept him as the AD the past 5 years...PH is right...
