This is the worst, worst, worst reason to keep a coach. Ever. Ever, ever, ever. Ever. Ever.

I wouldnt go so far as to say no one cj...If we see changes they are going to have to be on the defensive side...I mean we can roll up points with the best of them...the problem is we have a hard time stopping people when it matters

Big South Championships until this year. What was it that Jerry always said, "If its Christian it ought to be better."

We should not be content with winning seasons and moral victories. Specifically, with the Asa drama of this year, our coaches do not deserve to be back next season. Clean house.

Yes I would say that since we didn't make the playoffs in any of those years they ARE BS Championships. At least some of them were CO BS!

But we've stopped getting better, and the other teams in this crappy conference are figuring out how to beat us. If we run the same offense and defense next season, we will lose to Coastal, lose to G-Webb, and possibly lose to Stony Brook at home. We will become what Coastal is right now -- a former league champion, a former dominant football program, who is now past it's prime. We need to do something different so we can actually win the big games, rather than getting all pumped up to just watch our team blow it in the 4th quarter.

plain and simple, we were out excuted on defense, we had too many turnovers, we were outplayed and outcoached. When you score 31 poitns you should win, but dangit, i have had enough of this mediocrity. Props to Stonybrook for whipping our butts, they deserved to win!

Always tough to lose, tough to win championships, but try not to panic. They were in the game, & could have won it. We did better than all of the teams except one.

(Cubs fan: You now have the Red Sox GM. Good days are on the way. I'll be pulling for you.)

+1. Stony Brook won the conference, just like they did 2 years ago.

OK BJ... Now you know what I was talking about when I was not "thrilled" at the performance the last 3 weeks and said Stoney Brook is way tougher than you think. I think you called me Chicken Little if I remember correctly, in between the cheer leading for the Play-offs and FBS bids.
Sorry, but I saw it coming weeks ago...
On the game... didn't we all realize Stoney Brook was going to run? I can't believe we couldn't stop them and I can't believe how many times their recievers were WIDE OPEN. What happened to our "awesome" secondary? The offense was the same I guess, great plays, stupid plays, fumbles...

Entertaining, close game. As far as officiating, close games always have some questionable calls. In the end you have to make your own breaks. Stony Brook did .... and the best team won.

SB, D1-A backfield for sure! Their quarterback was "just" good enough to make it all work.

I thought LU played a good game .... our passing game is second to none in the FCS. The defense gave everything they had. Our weakness showed itself again, a young offensive line and a weak running game.

IM ready to go to Winston Salem to play Wake!

How sad is it that this defensive staff and personnel had 2 weeks to come up with whatever it was that they were doing out there. A lot of over-perusing which killed us on any kind of cutback. A ton of arm tackling. I understand the run wearing down the line and the LBers but the secondary left people 5-10 yards open every time it seemed.

You realize this has happened since Rocco got here, right?

That's his defense.

TOP favored Liberty greatly for a good portion of the game. If they were worn down we have more problems than just our Defense.

Earlier this season, the secondary was looking really good. I don't know what happened.

Rocco isnt the DC though. He has a defensive philosophy, but its the defensive coordinator who actually calls the plays. As I said already, if there needs to be any change among the coaches, its right there.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Clark hasn't been here the whole time. This is Rocco's defense. He's a defensive coach. It's his crap scheme.

Did it occur to anyone that we played a better team than us? Better athletes? Maybe if UVA shuts down their football program next season, like Hofstra University did this season, we'll be bless with 7 or 8 D1-A transfers next year?

I think SBU was more consistently talented, and better coached.

Um...the equivalent would be someone like JMU or W&M shutting their team down, Hofstra was certainly not D1-A/FBS.
