I said close to 9,000, i probably overestimated a little bit there. the student side holds around 8,000 (with the expansion, each of the 4 newer end caps each held 1,000 people if i recall, plus the 3,200 in the upper deck to get to 19,200 from 12,000) however I think we pack in far far more than that. id say its closer to 8,500 on game day. even at the savannah state game where we exceeded capacity, it still looked like there were plenty of empty seats on the home side.

my point is if you build the upper deck, the student side may get a little less packed and spread out, but i don't think any more students will actually come to the games, because we don't have any more students who care about football/ aren't stuck doing massive amounts of school work until we build more dorms.

The one end where the band sits is nowhere near the full capacity. They use probably a third of the full space. We are probably pulling 7000 students.
