My guess is that official announcements may not come until either national signing day or after drop/add on Friday. Just because classes started this morning doesnt mean they are going to instantaneously bang out a press release announcing somebody transferring in for the semester.

Yes, they can begin to announce transfers that have attended class. And BJ is also correct that often times it is prudent to wait until after the drop/add deadline.

Now that classes have started, I would suspect we'll hear from sources officially (or more likely unofficially) if we have any significant transfers.

Hopefully Curry is somewhere on this list in Chris's story tommorow. I still think he would be a huge asset at receiver and kick returner for us down the road. It would be nice to hear that he, Partilla and ALdreakis Allen are all back.

Correct. He's at a JUCO somewhere and hasn't made a decision on what he's going to do. Doesn't sound like he's coming here.

Partilla's case can't even be looked at until he completes a full year on campus. No news on him until the summer.

that is a real bummer. I was really hoping that he would be the next great skill position player to help out after this class graduates.

so what changed in 3 month? People were saying back in the fall that he was working in lburg and was really excited to play for the team and enroll in the spring or soemthing, i could have sworn i read that on this board somewhere. I wonder if he really did want to play QB and someone got in his ear that would offer him that opportunity. If i remember correctly he had a ton of Big East offers to be a DB or WR i think.

Anybody concerned that the stream of FBS talent appears to have run dry? I'm not panicking or anything, we will be fine without it, but some of our most important players over the past 5 years have been FBS talent.

I'm not sure if it's run dry or Rocco is now more confident in his recruits than relying on transfers.

Look at what manson said above you ballah...maybe Rocco has more confidence in the HS recruits he is bringing in as opposed to stocking up on FBS and JUCO transfers.

i really like moving bah to DE as well. If you watched on the kick-offs he was the first one down the field every single time. That tells me has a motor and doesnt quit on the play which i think is important for a DE, especially in the 3-4.

FBS transfers can still show up in the summer. After their spring games, some may realize their opportunities to play depend on a rash of injuries.

We had a late incoming transfer from VA Tech, HB Latif (DL) who I don't think played at all last year and was not mentioned in the article. Is he still around? Seemed like a good pickup being a 3 star recruit. Was moved from OL to DL.
