We've never gotten an exception after the 10pm rule was put in place that I'm aware of....we plan ahead though and start games with fireworks at 6pm
There was one game that went into extra innings this year and we had to set some off in between innings. I was surprised that they didnt do them at half time knowing that the first half was as long as it was, and the fact its practically impossible to play a televised game in 2:45. The average length of a televised football game is 3.5 or so.....so I wouldnt have thought the 10pm deadline would have surprised anyone. I would be interested to hear the coach's thought or even KK's thoughts on them, if it was a close game I imagine there would have been some flack. I missed a lot of it though watching the game...from what I saw it was good.
PS. Councilman Helgeson was at the game, he was the sole reason behind the ordinance...I am quite certain if he was asked to speak to the fire marshal then an exception probably would have been granted. Simply because everyone on city payroll knows it's his ordinance and the FM has received personal calls/emails anytime it's cut close, only from him....so if he doesnt care then nobody will.

I'm pretty sure they've made exceptions before, at least at city stadium but not 100% sure. I don't see how shooting them off at 10:30 on a saturday could be any worse than 10 oclock. The city just does whatever they can to cause drama with us, its ridiculous.
With that said, I thought the fireworks were possibly the best I've ever seen. They went on for ever and ever and were pretty good. We scored 2 TDs during them ha!
