Craziest week ever ... Ron McKelvey/Wilson. I remember covering it all. Ask Coach Rocco what it was like some time from inside the Longhorn locker room. Unbelievable.

I forgot he was part of that coaching staff. That was the first major bowl Tech ever went to. I was way up in the nosebleeds, up against the Superdome back wall. Didn't matter. I was just so happy to be in the building. Really, it was my last time to be a true fan of the team, since I pretty much covered every game the next year. NOLA on New Year's Eve. Couldn't beat it. One of the best times of my life.

i dont think he ended up having "SEC speed" so his options ended up not being quite as attractive as once thought. Not that WVU Miami and are terrible options for a high school football player, but there not some of the other schools that were originally interested and backed off.
