Incidentally, since there is no direct passage to Morgantown I am curious to see which way those of you who are driving are taking up. Are you heading up to Lexington and taking the goat paths up to 79 or are you heading north Maryland and heading west?

Take from someone who has done it under 5 hours many times. From L'burg: 501 to 64 near Buena Vista to 60 to 40 to 33 through Summerville. Then its a straight shot up 79. (These aren't even goat paths, tho a coal truck can make this take a bit longer on 60 or 40.)

Thanks for the direction, jk. That would've been my 1st inclination but I also have enough experience driving US highways through WV to know what a risk that can be.

I wanted to go to this game bad but I would rather make the trip to Long Island to see them play Stoney Brook. Then I can make a detour back through the city.

Smith wasn't even the #2 - yet. Most were saying he would've been by end of season, and he wouldve likely played a quarter or more against LU. However, should Brown go down early in the season, WR Bradley Starks would likely fill the void.

And WVU fans already know who our QB is going to be (with picture), and they have their own guy who spells worse than GMTM:

Let them talk trash... We will most likely not win but they are looking to pound us and I just don't see us letting that happen...

Quoting from the Gazette...
Yet all is not lost, in part because Liberty has apparently become a branch school of the University of South Carolina. This spring two former Gamecocks with starting experience, quarterback Tommy Beecher and wide receiver Freddie Brown, transferred to the school founded by Jerry Falwell.
