In my opinion, yes. It was 34-14. After the first quarter, we played them pretty evenly.

Playing "well" and competing to win are two completely different things.

2. Leo, I like NC State. I am from NC. I wouldn't call myself a wolfpack fan or anything, but I support them. I will root for them if they are playing against any team other than Liberty, Duke, and Wake. But as inconsistent as the Pack has been in the past decade, and considering they will most likely be in a rebuilding year that year... we have a chance to win that game. And by saying a chance, you can put whatever percentage you like on that. I just know that every year one or two 1AA teams beats a 1A team. That's pretty much a given every year. And I think one of these years it is going to be us. Maybe not next year at WVU and maybe not in a few years at NC State. But sooner or later it will happen.

But you are right. Some things have no chance of ever happening. You stand no chance at beating LeBron one on one. SuperJon stands no chance of ever dating Megan Fox. I stand no chance at ever becoming the bassist of The All-American Rejects. These are all things that are just NOT going to happen. If Liberty played Carolina this year in basketball, we would have stood no chance at winning. I think sometimes you can say we stand no chance, but our very good FCS football team has a chance at beating one of the two worst teams in the ACC that is wildly inconsistent.

Also, TTL's list of LU NFL players is incomplete. I know at least 1 more. Ben Anderson played for the New York Giants for 1 year. Signed as a free agent.

They're an FBS bottom feeder. That was the second half of that level. "FCS AQ Elite/FBS Bottom Feeders"

we could hang with NC State for a quarter maybe 2, not for a whole game, its simple.. yea we are good, we may even be great, but we are still not the BCS, there is a gap between the FCS and the BCS, hopefully by 2011 that gap will have closed more then it is now

This is really too far away to pretend to predict anything. I think it's fair to say that if both teams stay on the current paths they are on then we may have a shot if the stars align. There are so many things to account for such as injuries and so forth that are just beyond thinking right now. That being said if I had to pick an ACC school to play it would be Duke, State, or UVA just because those are the most inconsistent teams in the ACC in football.

By the way State had two other pretty darned good players named Torry Holt and Mario Williams haha. When we get a no.1 pick in the NFL Draft I will say we have a good shot at beating them haha

Let's just hope to retain Rocco and for our program to continue to grow every year.

What FBS have y'all got lined up for 2010 anyway? I know G-W has a game at Ohio U. already under contract for early September 2011. Don't you guys play Wake again in 2012?

We play UVA in 2013. I can't remember if we have any other games with FBS schools that have been made public.

Originally, Wake Forest was supposed to be in 2011, so maybe that's changed to either '10 or '12. I think Wake is on tap in '14, too. There was talk of a Virginia Tech game in '15.

Games against the ACC will sell some of the fringe FBS kids on the East Coast. The chance to play against UVa, NC State and Wake would be appealing.
