Flames Finally Hit the Field to Open Spring

After having to delay the opening of their spring practice season yesterday, the Flames were finally able to take to the gridiron, Friday afternoon, as Liberty began its annual spring workout sessions with a light practice.

The new turf project is now slated to be completed in time for the Flames schedule practice on Tuesday evening. Following the weather delays, Liberty’s revamped practice schedule is as follows this week (3/30-4/4):

Monday – 4:15 p.m. (practice field)
Tuesday – 7 p.m. (Williams Stadium)
Thursday – 7 p.m. (Williams Stadium)
Friday – 4 p.m. (Williams Stadium)
Saturday – 10:30 a.m. (Williams Stadium)

Pat Kelly caught alot of balls yesterday including one nice diving catch. The line on both sides looks a little rough but im sure the new coachs will change that soon

The defensive line should be fine as we have alot of guys returning over there. The OL will have a few kinks to work out especially in replacing Godsil.

I hear that practice is going well for the guys. Coach Streeter and McCorkle are new coaches but they are also very very good coaches. I am really looking forrward to see the guys in action next week.

I always start out my FF.com browsing with the FB forum. So I had NO IDEA what went down today over in Vines, and it wasn't until I read the above post that I realized something bad had happened.

I had to play the slideshow from practice and just sit and look at the shots of the new turf, and especially the shot of Danny and McKorkle- just to feel better.

Maybe I'll skip that other forum until AFTER the playoffs next fall.

I was there, Pat kelly is going to be somebody, trey jacobs is the best looking dlineman i think(although asa iis not there keep his family in your prayers), mike brown didnt look to bad, sirchauncy didnt practice and im looking forward to summer wen beecher and freddie brown come, I saw mike rocco was there )))) hopefully thats a good sign, there were two others there that i talked to(one of which was grant jones) he told me recruiting is going good and that he is a sophmore so rivals is right, i also over heard him say he loves liberty but i dont know much about him, anyone from lca know if he is good or what is up with him
