wow! if it was up to some you guys we should pack up the gear, put away the grilles and sell the rest of our season tickets! stuff like " i cant wait till hoops", or "this hurts rashad's draft stock" are you kidding me?? we still have a big south championship to defend. yes this is a horrible loss, probably the worst of the rocco era, but we still have lots to play for. we really need work on defense and special teams for sure, but cmon guys wait a bit before you post. we are all passionate about our flames and we want to be in the playoffs sooo bad, and next year the automatic bid will be there. the team needs evryone to come to VMI next week so not unless you are just flat broke or have no vehicle be there!! GO FLAMES!!
Nominate for post of the year. Along with MadMat's.

Playoffs or not...what a great way for the seniors to go out. Congratulations to them (and their parents)...for all the years of hard work in youth football, middle school, high school, and now LU.

Due to Jennings strong finish, didn't we put over 400 yards on Elon? THAT is impressive.

as much as i dislike liberty, and no it doesnt have anything to do b/c i think we're rivals or something. its just a clean dislike, i hope you do make it into the playoffs for two reasons. 1) so the big south will have representation w/o the AQ and 2) so we have something good to say about our season in that we beat a playoff team. nothing else we've done is good.

40 indeed
Don't ruin my good day. Just like postman said all week long, I am GLAD they proved me wrong.

SOME fans like to celebrate wins instead of attacking other fans. :P

SOME fans storm the field and celebrate with the team. :)

What a game. The D played great today and it seemed when finally caught some breaks today, it seemed almost all went our way. Surprised we went to the air as much as we did today especially late in the game. I did like the option play we ran. Hopefully we will see more of that in the future.

I bet we will next year. Spencer and Mike Brown both have the wheels to do it, and our running game will be more speed based, rather than based on the power of #23.

I agree, game ball for Sly. He did a good job with both audio streams having difficulties. :football

I loved hearing what students we had breaking out into "Victory in Jesus" as the clock wound down.

We sung that after every HS football game as a team :( will never forget those playing years, and miss them dearly.

I didn't hear any of that on the Baptist side.

But I loved watching Super and his classmates storm the field. I'm surprised they left the goalposts standing. When Rocco did the post game conference, he was so proud of his team that I thought he was going to cry.

Good thing Eddie Dobson wasn't there. He'd have gotten up from his wheel chair and told them in his Irish brough (like he told his soccer team ages ago when they sang it to celebrate a win) "Victoreh en Jesus tuk plaes tooo taousand yeahs agoo un thuh croos, naught un a foooootbol feeeeld!"

(Personally I think it's fine, but only on VERY SPECIAL OCCASIONS!)

Any report on the Elon Fans?

How many were there? Were they rowdy? Where were they sitting? Any confrontation with our LUnatics?

Perhaps half the folks in the center student section appeared to be Elon fans...others were in their appropriately assigned spot on the baptist side near the north end zone.

I don't think either section of them had much to make noise about today.

oh my goodness, that was the most exciting game i have ever attended! wow. our guys put it to elon in ALL areas of the game. when kevin richard blocked the field goal, THAT sealed it. you could almost hear the air escaping from the other side of the field. HUGE HUGE win, i have never been so proud to be a Flames Fan! what a way for the seniors to finish up at Williams Stadium. dontcha know Doc is smiling :D [/u]
