I think we'll be okay against Norfolk St. and probably Lehigh but it's not far-fetched to think that we could start off the season 0-4. How does everyone feel about our non-conference schedule next season?

We'll beat Norfolk State. They're really not that good.

We'll beat Norfolk St. Montana and Wake we will be underdogs and I expect to lose, but you never know. Lehigh is a true toss-up. I hope to go 2-2 out of the gate.

I agree on Norfolk State. Lehigh will be interesting because they lose (I believe) Lum, Spadola and Drwal and I think Barket too, Id have to check their roster to be sure but they may be rebuilding just like we will be on the offensive side, and we get them in our house too which should help. Id say 2-2 is about right for how we would do these first four games

2-2 would be a good start. I also like having VMI as our last game -- should be a decent tuneup for the playoffs, and if we're beat up we'll be able to rest some people.

Oh goodness. That game is gonna be like 89-0. Seems Virginia Tech is staying away from CAA teams for some odd reason

I don't think Norfolk State should be a problem but I think Lehigh is going to be a tough game. Montana will obviously be tough and I think Wake is fairly young this year, so they'll get better. Although, Norfolk State feels more like Robert Morris from this past year, we're losing a lot of players too. I tend to think that if Woodrum gets the start, he'll be better than Brown. However, even with Pat Kelley, we still have alot of receivers to replace. Not to mention the guy who basically carried us for half the season, Chris Summers.

I was just thinking that with those things combined with the growing pains of a new coach, we could start next year 1-3 or 0-4. I'm not really worried about losing any minor Big South games, but some of those early non-conference games have me worried.

Lehigh is losing a ton of pieces themselves so I dont think that one is gonna be a slam dunk against us. Wake Forest is an FBS game which is naturally going to be tough (although we didnt get blown off the field in our FBS games the last few years). Montana is Montana so that goes without saying. I dont think we will be 0-4 though.

I went to a Morehead State/Austin Peay basketball game last year, and almost lost it when the AP fans started chanting "Let's Go Peay!"

I started chanting "The Bathroom's Over There!" but it didn't really catch on with the Morehead fans for some reason. Embarrassed my wife, though, which is always a plus.
