Its one thing getting the guy some help, it is totally different if he is representing our school in some way...I just wonder if this is going to negatively affect the progress we have made as a athletic department

I am not even asking for the guy to get kicked out. I want him to get better, but he doesn't need football to get better. If he just gets back on the team this quickly it does him know good and does not teach him any kind of lesson. Unbelievable...for the first time ever I am ashamed of our athletic department.

Nothing they say would make this ok to me so why bother. I would hear some kind of lame excuse and just get angry about it. If someone can call in and ask questions about this situation without getting upset then I hope they can, but I wouldn't be able to to be quite honest with you.

BJ you're lack of concern over this is troubling to me to be honest. You blindly accept all from these guys because you feel it makes you a bad fan if you don't. This is my school and I want my athletic program to be run with class. If Asa wasn't as talented as the coaching staff believes he is he would be gone and that is the truth. If you can't admit that then there is no hope for you.

Im concerned about this too Jesse, which is why I wrote a note to someone who might be able to explain just what is going on here to some degree (within the limits one can since this is still officially a pending case). As with RC, Im once again taking my usual stance of waiting for the whole story as it certainly sounds to me like there could be more to this that we dont know

I agree, but if there is more to it then what has been released then the reinstatement should have waited. I also don't think its much of a punishment for Asa.
