yea, that'll work.
SuperJon wrote:You just made yourself look like an illiterate idiot. A Chanticleer is from the Canterbury Tales, one of the most famous stories ever.Really? I've heard that said before, but I don't think I've ever heard or read that story. And I consider myself to be pretty knowledgable about facts that nobody cares about. I'm not saying it's not true, but I wonder how "famous" this book is.

I mean how many times do you go to the zoo or even a petting zoo or anywhere and hear some kid yell out, "Look mom a Chanticleer!" I mean I believed in Santa when I was a kid because there were movies, songs, pictures, people dressing up as the guy, you name it. But, I'm not so sure that the Chanticleer isn't some sort of long-standing myth that Coastal didn't just adopt as a mascot. I'm from the south and I had never heard of this thing until I first heard of Coastal. I realize that you can't exactly replicate a Flame in a mascot suit, but at least I have undeniable evidence that LU's name sake actually exist. Coastal on the other hand, I'm not so sure. Besides, think about all the school's that have live mascots on the sidelines at their games. Georgia, Tennessee, LSU, etc. How unintimidating would a Chanticleer be pecking and pooping all over the sidelines be? That is, if they really exist. One more reason I'm glad I didn't graduate from Coastal. Please tell me you're not one of ours.
Somebody needs to make a 'I don't believe in Chanticleers' sign for the game on Saturday.

Or, at the very least, that you know how to use Google.
