Also, Chris Summers made a heck of catch when he took the ball out of Bethel's hands in 2OT. I hope he knows it is okay to do that the rest of the year.

I am not sure it would have affected our playoff birth. Neither does this weekend.

It was an amazing grab, Coach D.R. said it was probably Chris' most spectacular play of his career. Is it me, or is Chris having a terrible time adjusting to balls in the air lately? Some are poorly thrown, but there are a few that Chris has to see a little sooner and adjust.

To paraphrase one of our assistant coaches, Bambi wouldn't have made that catch. Many thanks to strength coach Bill Gillespie and to Chris for paying the price in the weight room. :clapping

Did I miss anything between half the second page and here? I doubt I did but I'm too lazy to read it all.
No, but thanks for the foe reminder.

OK, time for some context. One guy mentioned winning a conference championship next year IF we play as hard as we did Saturday. Another guy talked about winning the conference "in years to come." That's two of us. Personally, I think we have a bit longer to go before we will compete for a ring.

I don't blame them. Both the Seawolves & Flames are losing a ton at the skill positions after this season and the Hose are young & improving. While I don't expect us to be letting them step to the front of the line, if I'm a PC fan I would be excited too.

Kilts, I don't think you mentioned Black Watch's prediction either.

Still don't see how what I said took anything out of context.

stony brook will be pretty good next year. preseason favorites. . returns 4 of 5 OL. Essington and Mayonset. 2 of 3 wrs. and their really good tight end Arce.

i also believe their key defensive players return like mulroony and co.

I really don’t want to start talking about next year since SO much of this season still hangs in the balance, but we will be preseason champs regardless of our QB situation.

I don’t see SBU beating us in Lynchburg or CSU or GW for that matter. VMI is VMI. No telling what will be going on at CCU next year.

I don’t see us losing 2 games in conference; therefore, PC is our biggest challenger next year.

Kilts, after making my last post I head over to bluehosesports.com and this gem awaits me:
We are serving notice to the rest of the Big South that "the winds of change are blowing"!!! I noticed how nice the Liberty folks have been, almost like they don't want to draw our ire anymore. Maybe they realize that the last game was an indicator that we will be an equal when it comes to winning the Big South in the years to come. They might want to get their new conference affiliation on the fasttrack. Maybe we can refer the NCAA liasion who help boggle our transition to help negotiate for them.
Yep, he's got it. We're scurred. Scurred of PC.

I guess I did miss Black Watch's post. My bad. "PC fans" implies that the majority of us are talking about winning the conference championship next year based on one [ugly] football game. To me, that kind of thinking is a bit delusional.

That was the one I quoted for "years to come." That doesn't say next year. It doesn't say anything, really, except for "at some undefined point in the future."
