I don't want us to be like everyone else. We're Liberty, and we should be unique and create our own identity. That's why I don't want to play the white stripes song. Other than the fact it's been played so much that it's really getting old.

the cupid shuffle is by far the most annoying thing about LU athletics.

Fair enough. Just let it be something no one else does.

If you want a pure instrumental mix of Hendrix, try this, while printing up some "LWO 4 Life" shirts.

I think all music should be banned at college games except national anthem, school fight song, the band selections and entry music when team is "coming out of tunnel". At most venues, they start blaring music one hour before the game, and continue til even after game has ended. If one wants to hear music they should go to a concert or go buy a CD. a football game should be about football, not music, except for the school's band. There appears to be some NCAA rule that forbids a quiet moment at any time during a game. The PA systems are constantly making some type of noise.

You are not a real person. I am now convinced.

Would someone please tell me why PA systems have to continually blast rock and roll music from one hour before a game, during entire course of game during all dead ball periods, and after the game. The music serves no purpose other than un-necessary noise making. Please tell me why music/PA system must always be blaring. I want to know.

How dare they play that ROCK and ROLL!!! :oldhag

Seriously though it adds to the atmosphere. Same reason they do player introductions the way they do. Does it add anything to the game itself? No, but it makes game day atmosphere more enjoyable for most people not over the age of 65.

I am not over 65, but I did not like it when I was 22. I was at the very first football game LU ever played for the record, thus I am over 22, Ha !

If I were in charge of selecting music, only the LU band would provide music, other than entrance music. all this music during pre-game, timeouts, dead balls, etc over PA would cease. Ther eis no need for it.

When the band is more concerned about the "pageantry" of the game than providing a good atmosphere and learning your typical marching band in the stands music then you're pretty much stuck with playing stuff over the PA.
