I never called anyone any names, and you guys took it as an attack.

Jon blatantly calls things stupid and dumb and the discussion never goes past a couple posts when he says it.

Manson is mad at me, but doesn't comment to Jon...

I don't get it, if I'm not welcome here just tell me. I'll leave. If I really wanted to get a rise out of you guys I would have registered as a fake opposing teams fan (like Swiss Militant) and started some crap with you guys, since it's REALLY REALLY easy to start crap with you guys. Which, again, is why I made the first post in the first place.

I think this place needs balance and I was trying to bring it. But it's clear balance is rejected.
So you accomplished your goal of providing balance and your leaving :dontgetit

TTL, you can't leave. I never said that. Just try not to act like an opposing fan. Other than that ou are cool! And I'm still OK with being called dumb. lol

Personally, I love having you here, no homo. Just don't try to start crap every other thread. Accept that we have different opinions and outlooks rather than trying to change everyone's outlook.

And I hate JMU so I could care less how nice or reasonable their fans have been. I don’t see how we suck at talking to them, but oh well. I enjoy the bantering back and forth. That’s why I go to other team’s message boards all the time and start crap.
Fascinating.

And I sincerely hope you are miserable on Saturday night about 9pm or so!
miserable? if by chance we lose I will be disappointed. but not miserable. you do not yet know what football MISERY means. When your star QB, SUPERMAN as we called him, gets hurt in a critical playoff game and his backup comes in and leads a VALIANT attempt to get the game into OT, only to come up just short. To have your heart broken when that receiver dropped the ball on 4th down and have to leave the stadium, cold, wet, and angry. and most of all, upset because YOU KNOW deep down in your heart that if Rodney Landers hadn't got his ankle caught up in that tackle, if they hadn't given the ball to Montana FOUR TIMES, twice on MISHANDLING KICKOFFS, that you would have taken a trip the next week down to Chattanooga for a chance to experience a championship.

No, I know what it means to be miserable after a football game. Win or lose, it won't happen.

does anybody ever leave this board seriously angry??

All message boards have stupid people, all fans are the way the fans are on here. Its the way it is...

this is a dumb conversation you are right SJ...I don't know why I even participated...then again the whole distraction from work thing is the main reason

Sheesh, after being stuck for four hours at dealership only to be told my parts are backordered I come back to this mess. Ugh.

I guess this is further indication of the pent up frustration from the weekend. Hopefully everyone got it all out of their systems this afternoon.

How am I trying to change everyone?!?!

Because I disagree doesn't mean I think everyone should agree with me! But when i present an argument, I present it from the perspective of "I'm right and you're not", because that's how I feel. And no one ever presents the other side, they just get mad that I called them wrong. It's the same with other teams fans, and in pretty much any situation.

I don't act like another teams fan. I act like me. I believe what I believe, I think is right what I think is right, and I bring it. It's a discussion board, not an agreement board. I'm here to present what I believe to be true about Liberty Athletics. And I saw something in the way you guys were responding that made the whole fanbase look bad, and so I wanted to bring it up. It's the outlook LU fans have on everything, and I felt it needed to be addressed. If you feel I'm wrong, say I'm wrong. It doesn't matter to me. But saying I'm a big bad meanie calling everyone names is bogus, especially since that's exactly what SJ does, and is the opposite of what I do.

In fact, the main reason I left is because I got into debates and wound up having personal issues in my life used against me by olldflame and someone else, and that was the end of it for me. And he still never apologized, and I still have no respect for him. Since I've decided to go down this road, I figured I'd comment on that, since it was the true reason I left, and the reason I almost didn't come back.

I do the exact same thing and for that, I'm considered arrogant, a know-it-all, thinking I'm better than everyone, and all of the other adjectives people say on here that are supposed to make me feel bad. Anytime you present your argument in a way that shows you actually believe it, people are going to come against you. It's just the way it is.

You are wrong! But that's OK! So am I!
That's much better than "You're a big meanie! Stop being mean and trying to change me!"

I don't expect to sway the opinions of a group of guys (and gals) who are strongly entrenched in their version of love for LU. I just wanted to point things out.

And I never said I wanted to leave again, just that if my opinions aren't welcome then I have no reason to be here. And I have been wrong before. And I'll be wrong again.

As olldflame would say, there's a reason I don't have a job, right?

Anyways, back to the JMU game, I think you and I are actually on the same page. We can win this game if we rebound from the RMU game, which was never what I disagreed with. And I hope we can get back to talking about that.

I'm still a little jumpy since the last big debate I had here before I left. Gotta get back into the "FlameFans" debate mode.

true to an extent, but if people disagree they disagree...there is no need to take anything said on this board so personally.

that is the difference, I don't believe you have ever taken anything personally...

I don't quite get taking things personally..

As I just said, the last big debate I had here in the spring, things got very personal against me. And that's why I left. I'm still a bit "jumpy" because of that.

I think the coaches with find something different. They may have even held something back all along. I wouldn't be surprised though to see Mike Run a ton and him out receiving from Tyler even more. Who knows? But I do think the boys will come to play, the crowd will help, and we will find a way to run. I believe the defense is better than we saw last week or they would not have just shut down Ball States run game. We'll see. I am so ready.

Everyone who has an irrational piece of garbage opinion can successfully defend their opinion by calling the challenger a big meanie and defaulting to the fact that they are entitled to their opinion, yes? no.

Don't say stuff you cant back up and expect for everyone to just ignore it.
I heard him say this, but he(NOT BJWilliams, BJWi||iams) is not allowed to post.

I like to make long posts that present my whole opinion. Make me look smarter.

Regardless, hopefully we can get back to game discussion.
