I can guarantee you don't have to worry about Gill being offered a HC or a OC job at a BCS school. Guarantee. I think Gill as an OC would be even more of a disaster than him as a HC.

Look, I have no clue as to Liberty's roster or the past success of the program. The only way Gill could possibly work is if he has a great staff that does all coaching and organization for him and if he is just a figurehead, the guy who closes on recruits and kisses babies. So maybe if the almost all of the staff in place remains and they are competent, maybe he has a chance. If he has to bring in everybody and organize the entire program, Liberty is in big trouble.




'I think we need to get to that point, haha. Like I said, I wouldn't be surprised if Gill's name comes up for Auburn OC and Pitt HC.

You know, I would be very worried with all of this info, except AD Barber is not making this decision by himself. He's got one of the best coach finding agencies in the business advising him as well as great football minds that are willing to lend a hand (Dungy). At Lib I know the tutoring dept is all under the athletic programs as a whole. Many of the same tutors work for all the different athletic teams and we all reported to the same chick. So while the HC is technically in charge he really has little to no influence on that side. At least Rocco didn't.
